Abstract Three new phenolic compounds, nicotphenols A–C (1–3), together with 14 known phenols (4–17), were isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. Their structures established by means spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1D and 2D NMR techniques. Compounds 1–3 tested for their anti-HIV-1 activities cytotoxicities. They all showed significant cytotoxic abilities modest activities, respectively. Keywords: tabacum compoundsnicotphenols A–Canti-HIV-1 activitiescytotoxicities...

In large language model (LLM) serving systems, executing each request consists of two phases: the compute-intensive prefill phase and memory-intensive decoding phase. To prevent performance interference between phases, current LLM systems typically adopt prefill-decoding disaggregation, where phases are split across separate machines. However, we observe this approach leads to significant resource underutilization. Specifically, instances that suffer from low memory utilization, while...

Abstract Copper is a micronutrient essential for plant growth and development. However, Cu also heavy metal element that has deleterious impacts on plants when excessively accumulated in the environment. To understand molecular mechanism underlying tobacco response to stress, iTRAQ based technology was used identify differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) important metabolic pathways treated with excessive CuSO4. The results showed 180 DEPs were detected between treatment control, among...

Due to the salient DRAM-comparable performance, TB-scale capacity, and non-volatility, persistent memory (PM) provides new opportunities for large-scale in-memory computing with instant crash recovery. However, programming PM systems is error-prone due existence of crash-consistency bugs, which are challenging diagnose especially concurrent widely adopted in applications exploit hardware parallelism. Existing bug detection tools DRAM-based concurrency issues cannot detect bugs because they...

Due to high static power and low scalability, the traditional SRAM-based cache is not a good solution for image processing applications. Emerging spin transfer torque magnetic RAM (STT-MRAM) promising candidate due its leakage density. However, STT-MRAM suffers from write energy. Therefore, by making use of ability tolerating minor errors in applications, this work presents an STT-MRAM-based <monospace xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...

Disaggregated memory systems separate monolithic servers into different components, including compute and nodes, to enjoy the benefits of high resource utilization, flexible hardware scalability, efficient data sharing. By exploiting high-performance RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access), nodes directly access remote pool without involving CPUs. Hence, ordered key-value (KV) stores (e.g., B-trees learned indexes) keep all sorted provide range query services via network. However, existing KVs...

Abstract This paper reports on the synthesis of a new chromogenic reagent, 2‐carboxyl‐1‐naphthalthiorhodanine (CNTR). A high sensitive, selective, and rapid method for determination gold based reaction with CNTR solid phase extraction colored chelate reversed polymer‐based C18 cartridge was developed. In presence 0.05–0.5 mol L−1 phosphoric acid solution emulsifier‐OP medium, reacts to form red molar ratio 1∶3 (gold CNTR). enriched by retained eluted from dimethyl formamide (DMF). The...

Various applications use image bitmaps (data containing pixels) in main memory for fast accesses, thereby leading to lots of consumption. Unlike legacy DRAM, nonvolatile memories (NVMs) have larger capacity. However, NVM writes consume higher energy and latency compared with reads. Existing data compression schemes leverage precise general-purpose patterns or precision scaling reduce sizes, which suffer from limited performance due large variance serious quality loss. By exploiting the...

Phytochemical investigations on the ethanol extract of twigs Garcinia tetralata resulted in isolation three new biphenyls, tetralatabiphenyls A–C (1–3), along with known biphenyl derivatives (4–6). Structural elucidations 1–3 were performed by spectroscopic methods such as 1D and 2D NMR spectra, addition to high-resolution mass spectra. Persistent memory (PM) provides large-scale non-volatile (NVM) with DRAM-comparable performance. The non-volatility and other unique characteristics of PM architecture bring new opportunities challenges for the efficient storage system design. For example, some recent crash-consistent write-friendly hashing schemes are proposed to provide fast queries systems. However, existing indexes suffer from concurrency bottleneck due blocking resizing expensive lock-based control queries. Moreover,...
