Significance Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play increasingly appreciated gene-regulatory roles in the process of human tumorigenesis. Our results demonstrated that circURI1 expression levels were significantly increased gastric cancer (GC) compared to paraGC, and depletion promoted metastasis vitro vivo. CircURI1 directly interacted with hnRNPM modulated alternative splicing by sequestering protein. study provides a reported association circRNA, splicing, sheds light on molecular mechanisms metastatic GC.

Abstract Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have emerged as crucial regulators in physiology and human diseases. However, evolutionarily conserved circRNAs with potent functions cancers are rarely reported. In this study, a mammalian circRNA circLARP1B is identified to play critical roles hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Patients high levels advanced prognostic stage poor overall survival. CircLARP1B facilitates cellular metastatic properties lipid accumulation through promoting fatty acid synthesis...

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a large family of newly identified transcripts, and their physiological roles evolutionary significance require further characterization. Here, we identify circRNAs generated from conserved reproductive gene, Boule, in species Drosophila to humans. Flies missing circular Boule (circBoule) display decreased male fertility, sperm circBoule knockout mice exhibit fertilization capacity, when under heat stress conditions. During spermatogenesis, fly interact with...

α-Satellite is the largest class of tandem repeats and located on all human chromosome centromeres. Non-coding α-satellite RNAs have been observed in various cell types are known to play crucial roles maintaining genome stability. In this study, we demonstrated that dynamically expressed, heterogeneous transcripts regulated by Aurora kinases closely associated with centromere chromatin throughout mitotic cycle. We identified scaffold attachment factor A (SAF-A) as a previously...

Exonic circular RNAs (ecircRNAs) in animal cells are generated by backsplicing, and the biogenesis of ecircRNAs is regulated an array RNA binding proteins (RBPs). HNRNPD a heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein family member with both cytoplasmic roles, whether regulates circRNAs remains unknown. In this study, we examine role ecircRNAs. The levels primarily increased upon depletion HNRNPD. preferentially binds to motifs enriched A U nucleotides, flanking introns tend have more numbers...

Enhancer-derived RNAs (eRNAs) play critical roles in diverse biological processes by facilitating their target gene expression. However, the abundance and function of eRNAs early embryos are not clear. Here, we present a comprehensive eRNA atlas systematically integrating publicly available datasets mouse embryos. We characterize transcriptional regulatory network show that different embryo developmental stages have distinct expression profiles. Paternal activated asymmetrically during...
