Describes a new programming language for structured of computer operating systems. It extends the sequential Pascal with concurrent tools called processes and monitors. Section I explains these concepts informally by means pictures illustrating hierarchical design simple spooling system. II uses same example to introduce notation. The main contribution Concurrent is extend monitor concept an explicit hierarchy access rights shared data structures that can be stated in program text checked compiler.

A language concept for concurrent processes without common variables is introduced. These communicate and synchronize by means of procedure calls guarded regions. This proposed real-time applications controlled microcomputer networks with distributed storage. The paper gives several examples shows that they include procedures, coroutines, classes, monitors, processes, semaphores, buffers, path expressions, input/output as special cases.

This paper describes the philosophy and structure of a multi-programming system that can be extended with hierarchy operating systems to suit diverse requirements program scheduling resource allocation. The nucleus simulates an environment in which execution input/output are handled uniformly as parallel, cooperating processes. A fundamental set primitives allows dynamic creation control processes well communication among them.

The use of non-standard toxicity models is a hurdle in the early development antimicrobial peptides towards clinical applications. Herein we report an extensive vitro and vivo study library 24 peptide-based antimicrobials with narrow spectrum activity veterinary pathogens. haemolytic compounds was evaluated against four different species relative sensitivity highest for canine erythrocytes, intermediate rat human cells lowest bovine cells. Selected were additionally HeLa, HaCaT HepG2 which...

This paper presents a proposal for structured representation of multiprogramming in high level language. The notation used explicitly associates data structure shared by concurrent processes with operations defined on it. clarifies the meaning programs and permits large class time-dependent errors to be caught at compile time. A combination critical regions event variables enables programmer control scheduling resources among competing any degree desired. These concepts are sufficiently safe...

The properties and fiber dependence of distributed Raman pre-amplifiers and, in particular, the effects Rayleigh backscattering, which limits sensitivity improvements that can be realized, is discussed. Bit-error-rate (BER) measurements show In effective receiver 6.2 7.0 dB for dispersion shifted (DSF) silica-core (SCF), respectively. Theoretical predictions noise figure based on measured parameters indicate 6.6 DSF 7.4 SCF good agreement with optical SNR. optimum obtained less than 600 mW...

Abstract Antimicrobial peptides have attracted considerable interest as potential new class of antibiotics against multi-drug resistant bacteria. However, their therapeutic is limited, in part due to susceptibility towards enzymatic degradation and low bioavailability. Peptoids (oligomers N -substituted glycines) demonstrate proteolytic stability better bioavailability than corresponding while many cases retaining antibacterial activity. In this study, we synthesized a library 36 peptoids...

We have investigated the vaccine potential of two peptides derived from 6-kDa early secretory antigenic target (ESAT)-6 antigen in mouse model tuberculosis. The were both strongly immunogenic B6CBAF1 (H-2b,k) mice and primed recall responses same intensity after immunization. However, tuberculosis infection immunization with ESAT-6 resulted focused towards ESAT-61 – 20.
