Oxidative decomposition of toxic pollutants (such as acetaldehyde and isopropyl alcohol), water, photocurrent generation can all be achieved with visible light. Nano-islands p-type CaFe2O4 interfacing bulk n-type PbBi2Nb1.9W0.1O9 (shown) form photocatalytic nanodiodes that demonstrate high stability activity for such applications.

Conventional CMOS charge pump circuits have some current mismatching characteristics. The mismatch of the in PLLs generates a phase offset, which increases spurs PLL output signals. In particular, it reduces locking range wide with dual loop scheme. A new circuit perfect matching characteristics is proposed. By using an error amplifier and reference sources, one can achieve good It shows nearly over whole VCO input range, amount spur < –75 dBc signal. implemented 0.25 µm process.

Dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and strain properties of lead-free Sn-doped Bi1/2(Na0.82K0.18)1/2TiO3 (BNKT) were investigated. A crossover from a nonergodic relaxor to an ergodic state at room temperature, accompanied by giant electric-field-induced strain, was observed 5 at. % Sn doping. Switching dynamics monitored during bipolar poling cycle manifested that the originates incipient piezoelectricity. When doping level reached 8 %, BNKT exhibited electrostrictive behavior with...

Recently developed lead‐free incipient piezoceramics are promising candidates for off‐resonance actuator applications with their exceptionally large electromechanical strains. Their commercialization currently faces two major challenges: high electric field required activating the strains and strain hysteresis. It is demonstrated that design of a relaxor/ferroelectric composite provides highly effective way to resolve both challenges. Experimental results in conjunction numerical simulations...
