We have proposed using laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors to search for ultralight vector and axion dark matter. Vector matter can be probed through oscillating forces on suspended mirrors, while detected via polarization rotation of beams. This paper reviews these searches with the KAGRA detector in Japan, including first KAGRA's 2020 data installation optics during upcoming 2025 observing run.

Angular dependent magnetoresistance oscillation (ADMRO) effect in α-(BEDT-TTF) 2 MHg(SCN) 4 [M: K, NH ] has been studied as a function of the polar and azimuthal angles applied magnetic field with respect to most conducting c -plane. The ADMRO effects these two structurally similar compounds are drastically different their angle dependence waveform. While Hg-salt is standard type arising from warped cylindrical Fermi surface, that KHg-salt novel be attributed an open sheet. Calculation based...

Photoreflectance and photoluminescence measurements are carried out in (GaAs${)}_{\mathit{n}}$/(AlAs${)}_{\mathit{n}}$ superlattices with n ranged from 1 to 15 at room temperature. Analysis of photoreflectance spectra gives several critical-point energies a high accuracy which coincide the peak n\ensuremath{\ge}10. In n10 lowest transition energy determined analysis is found be larger than photoluminescence, whereas higher-energy agrees well obtained analysis. The present results strongly...

The thermal stabilizing effect of sugar on freeze-dried protein is studied, in particular the relationship between and degree sugar-protein hydrogen bond formation. Sucrose lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) are used as models for protein. Several samples LDH involved sucrose were prepared; they differed crystallinity sucrose. By X-ray diffractometry (XRD) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, it found that when amorphous samples, formation high stabilized remarkably. In contrast,...

Abstract Axion-like particles (ALPs) are undiscovered pseudo-scalar that candidates for ultralight dark matter. ALPs interact with photons slightly and cause the rotational oscillation of linearly polarized light. Simultaneous resonance linear polarizations is necessary to amplify both carrier field signal, achieve design sensitivity. The sensitivity current prototype experiment DANCE...

We have studied the effect of dot separation on switching behavior Ni-Fe elliptical arrays with major axial distances between adjacent dots. The magnetization process and magnetic configuration in apparently differ according to distance These differences are due fact that dipole-dipole interaction becomes stronger while decreasing From these results, it is evident optimal at which dots couples by below 30 nm.

Optomechanical systems have attracted intensive attention in various physical experiments. With an optomechanical system, the displacement of or force acting on a mechanical oscillator can be precisely measured by utilizing optical interferometry. As oscillator, suspended mirror is often used over milligram scale systems. However, tiny linear cavity unstable its yaw rotational degree freedom due to radiation pressure. This instability curbs power that accumulate it and imposes limitation...
