The incidence of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is rising rapidly in developed countries, posing a growing challenge due to the poor management this type malignancy at present. In study, we profiled tumor suppressive microRNAs (miRNAs) that are silenced by DNA hypermethylation OSCC using function-based screening approach. This approach employed proliferation assay for 327 synthetic miRNAs two lines. Among 110 identified set exhibited inhibitory properties, compared methylation and...
The etiology and development of human cancers that remain little understood might be enlightened by defining tumor suppressor microRNAs (TS-miRNA). In this study, we identified TS-miRNAs silenced aberrant DNA hypermethylation in endometrial cancer. Functional screening 327 synthetic miRNAs an cancer cell proliferation assay 103 inhibited growth. We then determined the sequence, methylation status, expression levels these lines primary tumors. These determinations led to identification...
Abstract Background Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory oral mucosa disease that recognized as an potentially malignant disorder. However, the nature of OLP remains unclear. Methods We designed this study to examine demographic and clinical characteristics patients with evaluate associated transformation rate. A total 565 histopathological diagnosis who presented at our department between 2001 2017 were retrospectively studied. Patients had features lichenoid lesions (OLLs)...
Background As the reason for insufficient control of blood pressure (BP), poor compliance taking antihypertensive agents is an important issue. In Japan, no prospective study on has been done. this we prospectively investigated details relationship between and living style situation in hypertensive patients. Methods We examined 121 outpatients with essential hypertension treated 12 months. Using oral interview based questionnaire sheet, factors about situations which worsen were assessed....
Abstract Objective Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory oral mucosa disease that recognized as an potentially malignant disorder. However, the nature of OLP remains unclear. Materials and Methods We designed this study to examine demographic clinical characteristics evaluate its potential. A total 565 patients with histopathological diagnosis who presented at our department between 2001 2017 were retrospectively studied. Patients had features lichenoid lesions (OLLs) classified...
Abstract Endoscopic ultrasound‐guided gallbladder drainage for patients with cholecystitis and high surgical risk is commonly performed by dilating the fistula before inserting delivery sheath; however, this carries an increased of peritonitis. To overcome problem, we developed a new technique that did not require dilation, using 0.035‐inch stiff guidewire, retrospectively evaluated efficacy safety technique. This retrospective case series report collected data on non‐surgical who underwent...
We report a case of plasma cell gingivitis (PCG), which is chronic inflammatory disorder, histologically characterized by dense infiltration in the mucosa. The patient was 55-year-old woman who presented with well-circumscribed redness associated diffuse edematous swelling maxillary and mandibular anterior-tooth gingiva December 2010. A second biopsy showed infiltration, including mainly cells, no atypical cells. Immunohistochemically, these cells were positive for immunoglobulin kappa...
Pollen food allergy syndrome (PFAS) is a that manifests as hypersensitivity symptoms of the oropharyngeal mucosa on ingesting specific foods, and findings resemble herpetic gingivostomatitis. Few reports PFAS caused by consuming radishes are found in literature. A 31-year-old man presented to our department with stomatitis pharyngeal pain. He had no history allergies. Herpetic gingivostomatitis was suspected. admitted emergency room few days later complaining oral epigastric Symptoms were...
Sleeve gastrectomy was covered by Japan's national health insurance as bariatric surgery for morbid obesity in 2014. There are a few cases of gastric bypass surgery, which is different procedure. Given that the current incidence cancer Japan higher than EU and US, difficulty presents examining bypassed stomach necessitates cautious approach to indication Japan. We present case woman her fifties who developed 12 years after undergoing laparoscopic Roux-en-Y bypass. When patient develops...
Background: Amyloidosis is a metabolic disease of unknown cause and mainly presents with organ damage due to abnormal amyloid deposition. In the oral cavity, it characterized by macroglossia nodule that frequently develops on tongue. Moreover amyloidosis often accompanied multiple myeloma.Herein, we reported case myeloma diagnosed from tongue amyloidosis. Case presentation:The patient was 66-year-old woman who presented our department chief complaint roughness in July 2014.Her huge had...
Background Oral mucositis is often observed with graft-versus-host disease (GVHD); however, the occurrence of oral granuloma rare. The rapid increase in granulomatous lesions should be distinguished from malignant tumors patients GVHD because diseases can develop those patients. This case youngest pediatric patient associated GVHD. Case summary was a 1-year and 5-mo-old girl who presented to our department for management nodules. At age 5 mo, she diagnosed primary immunodeficiency disease,...
