The problem of pairing in the $^{1}$S$_{0}$ channel finite nuclei is revisited. In nuclear matter forces separable form can be adjusted to bare force, any phenomenological interaction such as Gogny force or exact solutions gap equation. nuclei, because translational invariance, are no longer separable. Using well known techniques Talmi and Moshinsky we expand matrix elements a series terms, which converges quickly preserving invariance range. this way complicated cut-off at large momenta...
The relationship between the cellulose/lignin (C/L) ratio and degradation rate of municipal solid waste (MSW) in landfills remains unclear. In this study, USA National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) method was employed to determine cellulose lignin contents MSW at different stages aging. A normalized degradation-stabilization index (β) that represents C/L change initial value introduced characterize stabilization degree waste, aiming provide a scientific basis for sustainable management...
This study aimed to investigate the effect of BaF2 on radiation-shielding ability lead telluride glass. A physical radioactive source was used estimate mass attenuation coefficient (μm) 60TeO2-20PbO-(20-x)ZnO-xBaF2 glass system (where x = 1,2,3,5,6,7,9 mol%). We tested μm values at seven energies (0.059, 0.081, 0.122, 0.356, 0.662, 1.173, 1.332 MeV). To determine accuracy obtained results, we compared experimental data with calculated using XCOM software. The for selected glasses different...
Polymers have become widely used substrate materials for shielding neutron rays because of their high hydrogen content and easy processing procedures. Rare-earth are also being gradually adopted as absorbers considerable thermal absorption cross-sections. This paper utilizes the FLUKA Monte Carlo simulation program to compare effects various polymers rare-earth oxides on across different energy ranges. The study investigates superior radiation in each range. Subsequently, a series simulated...
China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is the first High Energy Intense Proton Accelerator planned to be constructed in during State Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, whose induced radioactivity very important for occupational disease hazard assessment and environmental impact assessment. Adopting FLUKA code, authors have a cylinder-tunnel geometric model line-source sampling physical model, deduced proper formulas calculate air activation, analyzed various issues with regard activation of...
In this paper, rare earth element (REE)/polyester composites were designed with lanthanum oxide, gadolinium and lutetium oxide as ray shielding agents, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) the base. Monte Carlo simulation was carried out using FLUKA software. We found that radiation protection performance of composite is affected by type amount REE; a higher REE equated to better composite. When thickness total constant, number superimposed layers inside does not affect its performance. Compared...
Some therapeutic proton synchrotron accelerators will be built for cancer treatment in China. The radiation produced by must carefully evaluated and shielded occupational disease hazard assessment environmental impact assessment. Adopting the FLUKA code, a room model, hall model high energy transport line tunnel are constructed to get ambient dose equivalent rate distributions. rates also calculated with an empirical formula some regions. results two ways consistent each other. advantages...
Neutron transfer reactions were performed in inverse kinematics using radioactive ion beams of 132Sn, 130Sn, and 134Te deuterated polyethylene targets. Preliminary results are presented. The Q‐value spectra for 133Sn, 131Sn 135Te reveal a number previously unobserved peaks. angular distributions compatible with the expected lf7/2 nature ground state 2p3/2 3.4 MeV 131Sn.
The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is going to be located in Dalang Town, Dongguan City the Guangdong Province. In this paper we report results of parameters related with environment safety based on experiential calculations and Monte Carlo simulations. main project accelerator an under ground construction. On top there a 0.5 m concrete 5.0 soil covering for shielding, which can reduce dose out tunnel's down 0.2 μSv/h. For residents boundary CSNS, produced by skyshine, caused...
We simulate the response of a modified Anderson-Braun rem counter in energy range from thermal to about 10 GeV using FLUKA code. Also, we lethargy spectrum CSNS outside beam dump. Traditional BF3 tube is replaced by 3He tube, layer 0.6 cm lead added out...
