Stimulator of interferon genes (STING) is an immune adaptor protein that senses cyclic GMP-AMP in response to self or microbial cytosolic DNA as a danger signal. STING ubiquitously expressed diverse cell populations, including cancer cells, with distinct cellular functions, such activation type I interferons, autophagy induction, triggering apoptosis. It not well understood whether and which subsets stromal cells are particularly important for STING-mediated antitumor immunity. Here, using...

A series of high entropy alloys (HEAs), AlxNbTiMoV, was produced by a vacuum arc-melting method. Their microstructures and compressive mechanical behavior at room temperature were investigated. It has been found that single solid-solution phase with body-centered cubic (BCC) crystal structure forms in these alloys. Among alloys, Al0.5NbTiMoV reaches the highest yield strength (1,625 MPa), which should be attributed to considerable strengthening behavior. Furthermore, serration crackling...

Aging is accompanied by a progressive decline in immune function. Studies have shown age-related decreases the expression and signaling efficiency of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) monocytes dendritic cells dysregulation macrophage TLR3. Using multivariable mixed effect model, we report highly significant increase TLR5-induced production IL-8 from older individuals (P < 0.0001). Elevated increased TLR5, both protein mRNA, levels TLR5-mediated phosphorylation MAPK p38 ERK. We noted incomplete...

In order to cure and treat health-related disorders, therapeutic substance must reach its target site with a constant concentration over long period of time. As oral administration is limited due enzymatic degradation, most the commercially available proteins are usually being administered parenterally. However, because their short biological half-life, daily multiple injections required maintain effective levels these drug candidates. To limit this drawback, variety polymers used increase...

Neoantigens play important roles in cancer immunotherapy. Current methods used for neoantigen prediction focus on the binding between human leukocyte antigens (HLAs) and peptides, which is insufficient high-confidence prediction. In this study, we apply deep learning techniques to predict neoantigens considering both possibility of HLA-peptide (binding model) potential immunogenicity (immunogenicity peptide-HLA complex (pHLA). The model achieves comparable performance with other...

Abstract Tumor-specific neoantigens have attracted much attention since they can be used as biomarkers to predict therapeutic effects of immune checkpoint blockade therapy and potential targets for cancer immunotherapy. In this study, we developed a comprehensive tumor-specific neoantigen database (TSNAdb v1.0), based on pan-cancer immunogenomic analyses somatic mutation data human leukocyte antigen (HLA) allele information 16 tumor types with 7748 samples from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)...

Abstract Reported is a novel palladium(II)‐initiated Catellani‐type reaction that utilizes widely accessible aryl boronic acids as the substrates instead of halides, thereby greatly expanding existing scope this powerful transformation. This borono‐Catellani was promoted by cooperative catalysis between Pd(OAc) 2 and inexpensive 5‐norbornene‐2‐carbonitrile. Practicality striking feature reaction: it run open to air at ambient temperature no phosphine ligand needed. mild, chemoselective,...
