Abstract Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection is associated with a range of persistent symptoms impacting everyday functioning, known as post-COVID-19 condition or long COVID. We undertook retrospective matched cohort study using UK-based primary care database, Clinical Practice Research Datalink Aurum, to determine that are confirmed SARS-CoV-2 beyond 12 weeks in non-hospitalized adults and the risk factors developing symptoms. selected 486,149 1,944,580...

Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are increasingly used in healthcare research to provide evidence of the benefits and risks interventions from patient perspective inform regulatory decisions health policy. The use PROs clinical practice can facilitate symptom monitoring, tailor care individual needs, aid decision-making value-based initiatives. Despite their benefits, there concerns that potential burden on respondents may reduce willingness complete PROs, with impact completeness quality...

Health care practice needs to be underpinned by high quality research evidence, so that the best possible can delivered. However, evidence from is not always utilised in practice. This study used Promoting Action on Research Implementation Services (PARIHS) framework as its theoretical underpinning test whether two different approaches facilitating implementation could affect use of A pragmatic clustered randomised controlled trial with embedded process and economic evaluation was used. The...

Facilitation is a promising implementation intervention, which requires theory-informed evaluation. This paper presents an exemplar of multi-country realist process evaluation that was embedded in the first international randomised controlled trial evaluating two types facilitation for implementing urinary continence care recommendations. We aimed to uncover what worked (and did not work), whom, how, why and circumstances during interventions practice. included theory formulation, testing...
