This paper proposes the weighted possibilistic c-means algorithm. The weights indicate possibility of a given feature vector belongs to any cluster. By assigning low weight values outliers, effects noisy data on clustering process is reduced. It shown that algorithm special case if each assigned one. Several methods for determining are presented. performance algorithms tested using generated by Gaussian random number generator with outliers and an artificial set containing outliers.

Abstract Background: An MCED test (Galleri®, GRAIL, LLC, Menlo Park, CA) has been in clinical use since April 2021. We previously reported the results of screening first ~53,000 individuals US with this from real-world (RW) practice. Here, we report RW experience repeated testing ~5800 individuals. Methods: This analyzes targeted methylation cell-free DNA and uses machine learning to detect a Cancer Signal (CS) determine its Origin (CSO). analyzed returned through August 2023 for those “No...
Abstract This study introduces the Structural MRI-based Alzheimer’s Disease Score (SMAS), a novel index intended to quantify (AD)-related morphometric patterns using deep learning Bayesian-supervised Variational Autoencoder (Bayesian-SVAE). SMAS was constructed baseline structural MRI data from DELCODE and evaluated longitudinally in two independent cohorts: DEL-CODE (n=415) ADNI (n=190). Our findings indicate that has strong associations with cognitive performance (DELCODE: r=-0.83; ADNI:...
225 Background: Active surveillance (AS) is the preferred management strategy for men with low-risk prostate cancer. However, approximately one in three on AS experience progression of disease leading to treatment within 5 years, highlighting an urgent unmet need reliably distinguish indolent from aggressive cancer and improve patient selection criteria AS. Germline genetic testing DNA repair gene mutations now recommended patients newly diagnosed a strong family history or BRCA1/2-related...
Older individuals have a higher risk for developing cardiovascular diseases, mainly from the age-related alterations in vascular wall structure and baroreceptor reflex sensitivity. A single bout of exercise has been demonstrated to improve function, however most studies tested effects after various protocols lasting 15 minutes or longer, while acute were determined at 30 exercise. PURPOSE: To examine immediate effect walking on health older males. METHODS: Arterial stiffness was using...
Creatine has been widely investigated for its bioenergetic role, however, recent research demonstrated benefits patients with neurodegenerative diseases, myopathies and dystrophies. In addition, creatine shown to impact risk factors associated the development of cardiovascular diseases including reduction in chronic inflammation, improved control hyperglycemia dyslipidemia PURPOSE: To investigate short-term supplementation on vascular health older males. METHODS: Nineteen subjects between...
