A versatile two-step wet process to fabricate Pt, Pd, Rh, and Ru nanoparticle films (simplified as nanofilms hereafter) for in situ attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) study of electrochemical interfaces is presented, which incorporates an initial chemical deposition a gold nanofilm on the basal plane silicon prism with subsequent electrodepostion desired platinum group metal overlayers. Galvanostatic electrodeposition Pd from phosphate or perchloric acid...

Aims: The functional traits of twigs and leaves are closely related to the ability plants cope with heterogeneous environments. analysis characteristics leaf thermal dissipation in riparian is great significance for exploring light energy allocation ecological adaptation strategies plant habitats. However, there few studies on correlation between twig–leaf their heat Methods: In this study, Hippophae rhamnoides Taohe National Wetland Park was research object. According differences canopy...

Surface-enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy (SEIRAS) in the attenuated-total-reflection configuration (ATR-SEIRAS) has been applied for first time to Ni electrodes. SEIRA-active electrodes were obtained through initial chemical deposition of a 60-nm-thick Au underlayer on reflecting plane an ATR Si prism followed by potentiostatic electrodeposition 40-nm-thick overlayer modified Watt's electrolyte. The nanoparticle film thus exhibited exceptionally enhanced IR surface probe molecule CO...

In the present study, using chalcone as a lead compound, series of its derivatives (compounds 1–30) were designed and synthesised. Their activity anti-pathogenic fungi plants has been evaluated. It is found that these compounds have good antifungal against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Helminthosprium maydis, Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia solani Gibberella zeae. Among them, inhibition growth for compound 30 S. sclerotiorum showed 89.9%, with median effective concentrations (EC50) 15.4 μg mL− 1....

An injectable hydrogel loading α-N-heterocyclic thiosemicarbazones with antibacterial activity was designed to attain therapy against wounds high efficiency. In the present study, FPZ-H2L synthesized by 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(N4-methylthiosemicarbazone) (H2L) on transition-metal ions (Zn2+)-cross-linked-folic acid (FA)-co-polydopamine (PDA) (FPZ hydrogel). The (FPZ-H2L) cross-linked coordination and hydrogen bonds displayed an excellent self-healing performance completely covered irregular...

The preparation of a glycosynthase, catalytic nucleophile mutant glycosidase, is well-established strategy for the effective synthesis glycosidic linkages. However, glycosynthases derived from α-glycosidases can give poor yields desired products because they require generally unstable β-glycosyl fluoride donors. Here, we investigate transglycosylation catalyzed by glycoside hydrolase family (GH) 97 α-galactosidase, using more stable β-galactosyl azide and α-galactosyl enzyme catalyzes...

Herein, we investigated enzymatic properties and reaction specificities of Streptococcus mutans dextranase, which hydrolyzes α-(1→6)-glucosidic linkages in dextran to produce isomaltooligosaccharides. Reaction wild-type dextranase its mutant derivatives were examined using a series enzymatically prepared p-nitrophenyl α-isomaltooligosaccharides. In experiments with 4-mg·mL-1 dextran, isomaltooligosaccharides degrees polymerization (DP) 3 4 present at the beginning reaction, glucose...

α-Glucosidase from Aspergillus niger (AgdA; typical α-1,4-glucosidase) is known to industrially produce α-(1→6)-glucooligosaccharides. This fungus also has another α-glucosidase-like protein, AgdB. To learn its function, wild-type AgdB was expressed in Pichia pastoris. However, the enzyme displayed two electrophoretic forms due heterogeneity of N-glycosylation at Asn354. The deglycosylation mutant N354D shared same properties with demonstrated hydrolytic specificity toward α-(1→3)- and...

The recombinant catalytic α-subunit of N-glycan processing glucosidase II from Schizosaccharomyces pombe (SpGIIα) was produced in Escherichia coli. SpGIIα exhibited quite low stability, with a reduction activity to <40% after 2-days preservation at 4 °C, but the presence 10% (v/v) glycerol prevented this loss activity. SpGIIα, member glycoside hydrolase family 31 (GH31), displayed typical substrate specificity GH31 α-glucosidases. enzyme hydrolyzed not only α-(1→3)- also α-(1→2)-, α-(1→4)-,...
