Three cases sharing the following radiologic features are reported: (a) abdominal conventional radiography—vascular calcifications at right hemicolon, (b) computed tomography—colonic wall thickening and venous calcifications, (c) barium enema examination—luminal narrowing of hemicolon thumbprinting. There were no clinical or laboratory findings suggestive portal hypertension. The disease entity, "phlebosclerotic colitis," should be differentiated from ordinary ischemic colitis.

Nanoporous silica thin films with low dielectric constants were deposited by gas evaporation of SiO2 nanoparticles in an argon atmosphere. With increasing pressure during the evaporation, constant decreases, while porosity increases. The correlation between and is well modeled a serial connection two capacitors, one air other as medium. This suggests that nanoporous film using technique more effectively lowered forming “uniformly” distributed voids closed gaps than those pores extending from...

In this study, micromechanical analysis will be performed to derive explicit solutions of the macroscopic elastic moduli and thermal expansion coefficient for composite materials, where spheroidal-coated fillers are oriented randomly in material. This is carried out by combining double inclusion method with self-consistent or Mori-Tanaka theorem. Furthermore, using these solutions, also derived materials containing various types coated different physical properties shapes. To verify validity...

We describe the case of a 69-year-old man with malignant lymphoma who developed granuloma annulare on his fingers. The number cutaneous nodules increased when recurrence was demonstrated during course disease. Granulomatous lesions disappeared after fifth cycle chemotherapy CHOP (cyclophosphamide, Adriamycin, vincristine, prednisolone). coexistence these two diseases is relatively rare. clinical features seen in this case, however, might suggest that generalized granulomatous reaction induced by

In this study, micromechanical modeling will be performed for composite materials containing fillers oriented randomly in the matrix. The purpose of study is to derive more general and explicit solutions effective thermal electromagnetic properties such without restricting shapes fillers. For purpose, it assumed that physical filler are same anisotropic as orthorhombic materials, shape ellipsoidal. This model analyzed by micromechanics combining Eshelby's equivalent inclusion method with...
