Iridoid and polyphenol profiles of 30 different honeysuckle berry cultivars genotypes were studied. Compounds identified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-qTOF-MS/MS) in positive negative ion modes quantified HPLC-PDA. The 50 compounds included 15 iridoids, 6 anthocyanins, 9 flavonols, 2 flavanonols (dihydroflavonols), 5 flavones, flavan-3-ols, 7 phenolic acids. 8-epi-Loganic acid, pentosyl-loganic taxifolin...

Recently, there has been increasing interest in medicinal plants, due to their content of health-promoting compounds, e.g., caffeic acids derivatives. Hence, the aim this work was study antioxidant activity extracts obtained from following plants: caraway (Carumcarvi L.), coltsfoot (Tussilagofarfara dandelion (Taraxacum officinale F.H.Wigg.), lovage (Levisticumofficinale tarragon (Artemisiadracunculus L.) and white mulberry (Morusalba characterized by high acid The water-ethanolic were on...

This study was designed to evaluate the effects of purple potato extract Blue Congo variety (PP) on diabetes and its antioxidant activities after two-week administration tostreptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. The PP were evaluated at a dose 165 mg/kg body weight (b.w.) by estimating biochemical changes in blood plasma through histopathological kidney, muscles, liver tissue. We effect treatment with glucose level, glycated hemoglobin, enzymatic antioxidants (including superoxide...

The fruits of Cornus mas and officinalis have been known appreciated in folk medicine for years a high biological value, which is mainly connected with their polyphenols iridoids content. However, hybrids C. × not investigated. aim this study was to evaluate the iridoids, anthocyanins, flavonols content, antioxidant capacity mas, officinalis, officinalis. Iridoids flavonoids were quantified by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. Antioxidant (AC) measured using...

Sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) is a very important fruit crop for producers as well consumers. To obtain information on sour fruit, we determined the sugar and organic acid composition phenolic compound contents of twenty-one cultivars genotypes Prunus L. by HPLC quantification. Antioxidant capacity was DPPH radical scavenging, reducing power (FRAP) determination substances reacting with Folin–Ciocalteu reagent (FCRS). The main acids in cherries were malic malonic acids, sugars glucose...
