For the numerical simulation of electron cyclotron resonance plasma production, a two-dimensional model that describes wave propagation and transport is developed. The modeling code calculates profiles electromagnetic fields, power absorption electrons, temporal evolution densities in bounded, inhomogeneous, cylindrical system. calculation production mirror magnetic field shows property very sensitive to antenna location.

In order to prepare adequate current ramp-up and ramp-down scenarios for ITER, present experiments from various tokamaks have been analysed by means of integrated modelling in view determining relevant heat transport models these operation phases. A set empirical L-mode (namely, the Bohm–gyroBohm model scaling based with a specific fixed radial shape energy confinement time factors H96−L = 0.6 or HIPB98 0.4) has validated on multi-machine experimental dataset predicting li dynamics within...

A 28~GHz system with a high-power gyrotron tube has been used for the QUEST spherical tokamak to form an over-dense plasma electron Bernstein wave heating (EBWH) and current drive 8.2~GHz-wave. Non-inductive high-density ramp-up experiments dual-frequency (dual$-f$) cyclotron (EC) [ 8.2~GHz ] waves were conducted. spontaneous density jump (SDJ) state was observed as bifurcation phenomenon in dual$-f$ experiment. The on 8.2~GHz-wave non-inductively ramped up 25~kA, maintained 0.4~s under...

High-energy tail formations due to the monochromatic wave in a magnetized plasma are studied numerically and analytically. By calculating phase space trajectories of 10 000 particles, initially Maxwell-velocity-distributed, presence uniform magnetic field sinusoidal traveling closely perpendicular direction with frequency cyclotron harmonics, some properties particle acceleration clarified. The mechanism can be described by modification trapping theory two types stochastic acceleration....

We aim to elucidate the effect of spatial resolution three-dimensional cine phase contrast magnetic resonance (3D PC MR) imaging on accuracy blood flow analysis, and examine optimal setting for using phantoms. The phantom has five types acrylic pipes that represent human vessels (inner diameters: 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 mm). The were fixed with 1% agarose containing 0.025 mol/L gadolinium agent. A blood-mimicking fluid property values was circulated through at a steady flow. Magnetic (MR) images...
