Lower back pain (LBP) arising from lumbar disc herniation (LDH) poses a challenging health issue, often necessitating therapeutic interventions. Bushen Huoxue formula (BSHXF) has proved as potential treatment option with great clinical effect. However, comprehensive investigations into its efficacy and safety in conjunction celecoxib for managing LBP LDH are lacking. The objective of this article is to investigate the BSHXF management patients LDH.
The purpose was to explore possible risk factors of facet joint violation induced by adjacent superior vertebral pedicle screw during the minimally invasive surgery transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS-TLIF). A total 69 patients with degenerative disease, who underwent MIS-TLIF were retrospectively reviewed. Postoperative computed tomography images used assess violation. correlation violations gender, age, body mass index (BMI), level, segment numbers, position insertion, straight...
The aim of this study was to compare the therapeutic effects anterior 'skip' corpectomy with posterior decompression for treating four-level cervical spondylotic myelopathy.Operation time and blood loss during operation approach groups were recorded. Patients examined lateral radiography before after measure Cobb's angle postoperatively monitor bony fusion. Surgery-, instrumentation-, graft-related complications assessed recorded. The surgical aspects both went smoothly, mean durations 2.5...
Intra-articular calcaneal fracture remains challenging to manage. Computed tomography and mapping are useful for the diagnosis treatment of fractures. The aim present study was characterize patterns using mapping.Sixty-two fractures were retrospectively included in study. For each case, simulated reduction manually. lines zones comminution graphically superimposed onto an intact template identify patterns. Major assessed by focusing on posterior joint facet, medial wall, lateral...
ObjectiveTo explore whether Bushen Huoxue Formula (BSHXF) improves the angiogenesis ability of transplanted endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) in endplate and its potential mechanism delaying intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD).MethodsBSHXF was analyzed via Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC). Rabbit axial compression lumbar IDD models were constructed effects BSHXF, EPCs, their combination determined by MRI, histological evaluation, TUNEL, immunofluorescence assays....
The pelvis often needs to be reconstructed after bone tumor resection. A major challenge here for the orthopedic surgeons is choose a method that gives best performance which depends upon its biomechanical properties. In this study, 3-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) was used analyze properties of using fibula transplant fixed by four commonly rod-screw systems.A total pelvic finite-element model including lumbar-sacral spine and proximal femur constructed based on geometry CT image...
The development of minimally invasive procedures and implant materials has improved the fixation strength implants is less traumatic in surgery. purpose this study was to propose a novel "double-point fixation" for calcaneal fractures compare its biomechanical stability with traditional "three-point fixation." A three-dimensional finite element foot model Sanders type IIIAB fracture developed based on clinical images comprising bones, plantar fascia, ligaments, encapsulated soft tissue....
Background: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is a pathophysiological process that leads to severe back pain or neurological deficits. The Bushen Huoxue Formula (BSHXF) traditional herbal remedy widely used treat diseases related IVDD. However, its pharmacological mechanism needs further exploration. Objective: This study aimed elucidate the mechanisms through which BSHXF treats IVDD-related by integrating metabolomics with network pharmacology. Methods: Network pharmacology was...
Reconstruction after resection of tumor about the acetabulum represents a considerable challenge in reconstructive surgery. Between 1999 and 2003, three patients with periacetabular tumors underwent resections (Ennecking type B) pelvic ring reconstruction microsurgical fibular flaps. Histological diagnosis showed oseosarcoma, giant cell tumor, aneurysmoid bone cyst. All survived surgery without complications. The follow-up for ranged from 14 to 42 months. average time healing full weight...
Osteoporotic thoracolumbar burst fracture (TLBF) is difficult to treat due its high rate of postoperative implant failure. This study was designed evaluate the clinical effect balloon kyphoplasty with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and posterior pedicle screw fixation for treatment osteoporotic TLBF.Between February 2012 May 2016, 24 consecutive patients TLBFs were included in this study, all whom suffered incomplete neurologic deficit. They managed transpedicular kyphoplasty, PMMA...
Purpose There is still some controversy regarding the optimal biomechanical concept for spinopelvic stabilization following total sacrectomy malignancy. Strains at specific anatomical sites pelvis/sacrum and implants interfaces have been poorly investigated. Herein, we compared analyzed strains applied key points bone-implant interface in four different constructs sacrectomy; consequently, defined a balanced architecture fusion that situation. Methods Six human cadaveric specimens, from...
In steel enterprises, the design of energy systems mainly depends on experience and lacks systematic optimization methods. Therefore, it is great significance to propose an overall method for system enterprises. this paper, a linear model proposed select conversion equipment types distribute sources with aim maximizing economic benefits system. model, choice technology distribution source are considered comprehensively. For S plant, case analysis results show that under condition keeping...
Abstract Background This study was conducted to investigate the outcomes and complications of balloon kyphoplasty (KP) for treatment osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) compare its radiological clinical effects OVCF without RA. Methods Ninety-eight RA group 158 fractured vertebrae 114 control 150 were involved this study. Changes rate, local kyphotic angle, visual analog scale (VAS) Oswestry disability index (ODI) scores, conditions...
The purpose of this study is to investigate the stability and stress distribution pelvic reconstruction using fibular transplantation combined with rod-screw system fixation after type I resection. A total finite-element model including lumbar-sacral spine, proximal femur was constructed. Three- dimensional finite element models different implants fibula, rod screw were constructed ways solid modeling. Then various reconstructed assembled implant resected model. load 500 N imposed vertically...
The study is to develop a three-dimensional finite element model the disease related lumbo-pelvic-femoral complex. CT images from first lumbar vertebra upper third of femurs 25-years-old healthy male were obtained. Triangle mesh was generated using these by Simpleware. Then whole solid set up after repair and optimization in Geomagic. established analyzed ABAQUS. pelvis-lumbar-femur (3D- FEMLPFC) had 106557 nodes 435736 elements. difference anatomic shape between 3D-FEMLPFC -0.74 mm 1.64...
A method of digital image measurement specimen deformation based on CCD cameras and Image J software was developed. This used to measure the biomechanics behavior human pelvis. Six cadaveric specimens from third lumbar vertebra proximal 1/3 part femur were tested. The without any structural abnormalities dissected all soft tissue, sparing hip joint capsules ligaments pelvic ring floor. Markers with black dot white background affixed key regions Axial loading applied by MTS in gradient 0N...
