One hundred sixty eight bacterial strains, isolated from soil and samples of vegetable in decomposition, were screened for the use citrus pectin as sole carbon source. 102 positive pectinase depolymerization assay plates evidenced by clear hydrolization halos. Among them, 30% presented considerable pectinolytic activity. The cultivation these strains submerged semi-solid fermentation polygalacturonase production indicated that five Bacillus sp produced high quantities enzyme....

An electrochemical genosensor was constructed for detection of specific DNA sequence the hepatitis B virus, based on graphite electrodes modified with poly(4-aminophenol) and incorporating a oligonucleotide probe. The electrode containing probe evaluated by differential pulse voltammetry, before after incubation complementary target. Detection performed monitoring oxidizable bases (direct detection) or using ethidium bromide as indicator hybridization process (indirect detection). device...

Abstract This work describes an electrochemical genosensor for detection of genomic RNA Zika virus in real samples infected patients, using a new platform based on graphite electrodes modified with electrochemically reduced graphene oxide and polytyramine‐conducting polymer. The developed was suitable differentiation between healthy patients by differential pulse voltammetry, detecting up to 0.1 fg/mL (1.72 copies/mL), showing good stability (about 60 days), rapid analysis 20 min) potential...

This was a clinical-epidemiological and mycological study on 184 patients at the university hospital: 200 samples, 142 positive 98 yeasts 68 filamentous fungi. Candida parapsilosis (47%) Trichophyton rubrum (38%) were prevalent. They 100% sensitive to ketoconazole 99% amphotericin B. The highest prevalences among women (80%), adults (62%) toes (84%).

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is responsible for more than 180 million infections worldwide, and about 80 % of are reported in Low Middle-income countries (LMICs). Therapy based on the administration interferon (INF), ribavirin (RBV) or recently Direct-Acting Antivirals (DAAs). However, amino acid substitutions associated with resistance (RAS) have been extensively described can contribute to treatment failure, diagnosis RAS requires considerable infrastructure, not always locally available. Dried...
