The present study sought to evaluate the correlation between indices of non-invasive myocardial work (MW) and left ventricle (LV) size, traditional advanced parameters LV systolic diastolic function by 2D echocardiography (2DE).A total 226 (85 men, mean age: 45 ± 13 years) healthy subjects were enrolled at 22 collaborating institutions Normal Reference Ranges for Echocardiography (NORRE) study. Global index (GWI), global constructive (GCW), waste (GWW), efficiency (GWE) estimated from...
The present study sought to assess the impact of aortic stenosis (AS) on myocardial function as assessed by layer-specific longitudinal strain (LS) and its relationship with symptoms outcome. We compared 211 patients (56% males, mean age 73 ± 12 years) severe AS left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≥50% (114 symptomatic, 97 asymptomatic) 50 controls matched for sex. LS was from endocardium, mid-myocardium, epicardium 2D speckle-tracking echocardiography. Despite similar LVEF, multilayer...
To obtain the normal range for 2D echocardiographic (2DE) measurements of left ventricular (LV) layer-specific strain from a large group healthy volunteers both genders over wide ages.A total 287 (109 men, mean age: 46 ± 14 years) subjects were enrolled at 22 collaborating institutions EACVI Normal Reference Ranges Echocardiography (NORRE) study. Layer-specific was analysed apical two-, three-, and four-chamber views using 2DE software. The lowest values calculated as ±1.96 standard...
Abstract Background Based on excellent clinical outcomes data, coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA)-derived fractional flow reserve (FFRCT) is endorsed by ESC guidelines for diagnosing obstructive artery disease (OCAD) (1). The impact of FFRCT use cardiovascular after revascularization not well known. Purpose To assess the post-procedural myocardial injury and long-term patients with OCAD undergoing revascularization. Methods Patients suspected CCTA (at least one stenosis...
Abstract Background and Aims To assess independent impacts of air noise pollution, residential green exposure on non-invasively derived coronary obstruction myocardial ischemia. Methods Consecutive patients screened by computed tomography angiography (CCTA) for stable chest pain between 01/01/2019 31/12/2020 were included in a registry. Exposure associations PM2.5 (particulate matter <2.5 micrometres), NO2 (nitric dioxide), major road distance, airport distance normalized difference...

A total of 1335 outpatients with suspected coronary artery disease and who underwent computed tomography derived fractional flow reserve (FFRCT ) analysis were examined. Only four patients showed reverse increase FFRCT from the proximal to distal vessel all them had a large ramus (RAM). Of parameters (vessel length, lumen volume, plaque left ventricular mass), only bifurcation angle was significantly higher in RAM group (106.0 ± 15.8°) than normal (82.6 21.7°) without (66.9 21.1°).
Computed tomography (CT) derived fractional flow reserve (FFR
Abstract Background The ramus artery contributes to the development of turbulence, which may influence computed tomography (CT) derived fractional flow reserve (FFR CT ) even without coronary disease (CAD). relationship between ramus‐induced turbulence and FFR is unclear. Method Results A total 120 patients with <20% stenosis assessed by both invasive angiography were evaluated. divided into three groups: absent‐ramus ( n = 72), small‐ramus that could not be analyzed 18), large‐ramus 30)....
Abstract The sequence Arg37‐Arg38 of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) is known to play a significant role in the feedback inhibition by end product DA. To clarify how deeply and phosphorylated Ser40 human TH type 1 (hTH1) are involved regulation this mammalian cells, we generated following mutants: (i) RR‐GG, replaced Gly37‐Gly38; (ii) RR‐EE, Glu37‐Glu38; (iii) S40D, Asp40; (iv) S40A, Ala40. In cell‐free system, level DA RR‐EE mutant enzyme was same or smaller degree than that...
Abstract Objectives Computed tomography (CT)–derived fractional flow reserve (FFR CT ) decreases continuously from proximal to distal segments of the vessel due influence various factors even in non-obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD). It is known that FFR dependent on vessel-length, but relationship with other morphologies remains be explained. Purpose To investigate morphological aspects vessels NOCAD right (RCA). Methods A total 443 patients who underwent both and invasive...
Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and CT-derived fractional flow reserve (FFR CT ) provide high diagnostic accuracy for coronary artery disease (CAD), consistent with invasive (ICA), the gold standard technique. The presence of calcified components, however, complicates interpretation stenosis severity. We present a case where there was discrepant assessment severity between CCTA/FFR (indicating significant obstructive CAD) ICA (showing no apparent CAD).CCTA/FFR revealed that...
