Antibiotics and nanoplastics (NPs) are among the two most concerned studied marine emerging contaminants in recent years. Given large number of different types antibiotics NPs, there is a need to apply efficient tools evaluate their combined toxic effects. Using thick-shelled mussel (Mytilus coruscus) as ecotoxicological model, we applied battery fast enzymatic activity assays 16S rRNA sequencing investigate biochemical gut microbial response mussels exposed antibiotic norfloxacin (NOR) NPs...

As an environmental contaminant, mercury is of great concern due to its high risk and human health. The halophyte Suaeda salsa the dominant plant in intertidal zones Yellow River Delta (YRD) where has been contaminated by some places. This study aimed at evaluating chronic effects (Hg2+, 20 µg L−1) influence environmentally relevant salinity (NaCl, 500 mM) on mercury-induced S. salsa. A total 43 protein spots with significant changes were identified response Hg2+, combined Hg2+ salinity....
