Control over the number of mtDNA molecules per cell appears to be tightly regulated, but mechanisms involved are largely unknown. Reversible alterations in amount occur response stress suggesting that control is stress-related diseases including major depressive disorder (MDD). Using low-coverage sequence data from 10,442 Chinese women compute normalized numbers reads mapping mitochondrial genome as a proxy for mtDNA, we identified two loci contribute levels: one within TFAM gene on...

Listeria is ubiquitous in a variety of environments and can be isolated from wide range animal hosts. Rodents are capable carrying pathogenic bacteria their intestines, such as Listeria, disseminate those pathogens into the natural environment to where human activity occurs. In this study, we investigated occurrence antimicrobial susceptibility spp. wild rodents found China. We collected 341 intestinal fecal samples five different regions China, all representing rodent habitats. The isolates...

Anadromous migration toward riverine tributaries is often challenged by altered environmental cues, food scarcity, and energy demands, sometimes at the expense of life itself. Tenualosa ilisha (Clupeiformes: Dorosomatidae), national fish Bangladesh, an anadromous shad, offers a model for understanding molecular mechanisms migration. To this end, we present chromosome-level genome T. compare its transcriptomic imprints from muscle liver across environments to trace physiological shifts...

The big-eye mandarin fish (Siniperca knerii) is an endemic species of southern China. It belongs to the family Sinipercidae, which closely related well-known North American sunfish Centrarchidae. Determining genome sequence S. knerii would provide a foundation for better examining its genetic diversity and population history. A novel sequenced Sinipercidae also help in comparative study Centrarchidae using Siniperca as reference. Here, we determined 10x Genomics technology next-generation...

Abstract SWI/SNF complexes play an important role in controlling gene expression by remodeling chromatin. SMARCA2 (BRM) and SMARCA4 (BRG1) are the core catalytic subunits of complexes, containing ATPase domain a DNA binding bromodomain. protein is lost some cancers due to nonsense mutations, SMARCA4-deleted cancer cells highly dependent on its paralog for their survival. Therefore, targeting using selective degraders induces synthetic lethality while sparing wild type (WT) normal cells. We...

A combination of short-insert paired-ended and mate-pair libraries large insert sizes is used as a standard method to generate genome assemblies with high contiguity. The third-generation sequencing techniques also are improve the quality assembled genomes. However, both require high-molecular-weight DNA, making use these inappropriate for samples only degraded DNA. An in silico that generates using reference was devised task assembling target Although contiguity completeness genomes were...

Abstract Previous studies have indicated that Cranoglanis bouderius and Pangasianodon hypophthalmus clustered into a sister group. However, there was significant difference in their minimum tolerated temperatures. To reveal the temperature adaptation‐related genes, genome‐wide comparative analysis performed. First, chromosome‐level draft genome of C. constructed this study. The assembly 999.18 Mb size with contig N50 20.47 Mb. Then, an additional 118.98 Gb Hi‐C data applied to assemble...
