Relatively little is known about thrombotic adverse events (AEs) of emicizumab in postmarketing real-world settings, particularly comparison with factor VIII (FVIII) products. A recent European study reported a potentially greater risk compared FVIII
Allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell therapy is a potential therapeutic approach for variety of solid tumors. We established an expansion method large-scale production highly purified and functionally active NK cells, as well freezing medium the expanded cells. In present study, we assessed effect cryopreservation on cells in regards to viability, phenotype, anti-tumor activity.NK were enormously (about 15,000-fold expansion) with high viability purity by stimulating CD3 + T cell-depleted...
The cell-cycle regulator Cks1 has recently been implicated in Skp2-mediated ubiquitination of the tumor suppressor protein p27. In this article, we report that exerts a Skp2-independent regulation NF-κB promotes interleukin-8 (IL-8) expression, which is critical to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) growth. was upregulated frequently human HCC tissues and cell lines. knockdown cells elevated p27 levels decreased tumorigenicity manner also associated with strong downregulation IL-8 expression....
Activation of cell surface CD30 by immobilized anti-CD30 monoclonal antibodies (mAb) induces strong apoptosis in human eosinophils. This mAb-induced eosinophil is inhibited the addition inhibitors p38, ERK1/2 mitogen-activated protein kinases, and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. However, there little data investigating role Bcl-2 caspases induced mAb. We sought to determine whether mAb via caspase pathways.Peripheral blood was drawn from 37 healthy volunteers. The expression on eosinophils...
This study was carried out in order to be used as...
A new staging system for multiple myeloma (MM) has utilized serum concentrations of beta2-microglobulin (Sbeta2M) and albumin as important prognostic factors survival. Since Sbeta2M is an indicator glomerular filtration rate, we compared the values 24-hr urinary creatinine clearance (Ccr) in patients with MM. We retrospectively reviewed records 170 MM from January 1996 to November 2003 whose Ccr was available at time diagnosis. found that pretreatment inversely related (Spearman's...
Moebius syndrome is a rare, congenital neurological disease involving facial paralysis and limitation of eye movements. It results from maldevelopment the sixth seventh cranial nerves. Dental features this include micrognathia, microstomia, tongue deformity, cleft palate, hypoplasia teeth, missing teeth. A 7-year-old female with was referred local dental clinic for caries treatment. She presented microstomia. Oral findings included multiple enamel hypoplasia, deformity. treatments including...
Objectives This study evaluated the relationship between oral hygiene and health status radiation-induced mucositis among patients with head neck cancer over an 8-week period. Methods We recruited 40 scheduled to receive radiation therapy (RT), 25 were included in study. Before commencing RT, a dentist examined for plaque, determined gingival index pocket depth. A dental hygienist assessed once weekly, 8 weeks, during RT. Results The mean patient age was 60.96 (±8.47) years, 21 (87.5%) male....
Objective: This retrospective propensity score–matched cohort study aimed to examine the frequency of acromioplasty among patients with shoulder disorders receiving and not acupuncture, based on Korea National Health Insurance Service-National Sample Cohort (NHIS-NSC) data. Methods: We included cases high-frequency disorders—adhesive capsulitis, rotator cuff syndrome, impingement sprain strain joint—stratified from NHIS-NSC database between 2002 2013; were classified into two groups a...
Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) affecting cardiovascular system might be underestimated and underreported in clinicalpractice. Most common culprit drugs are anthracyclines, antipsychotics cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 inhibitors. Anthracyclinesmay induce myocardial damage with oxidative stress, which is mostly irreversible. Type I ADRs commonly encountered inantipsychotic use. Attention should paid to the risk of sudden cardiac death related some antipsychotics. COX inhibitorspharmacologically have...
