Measures of the proliferative activity tumor cells have prognostic value in patients with node-negative breast cancer. We studied 367 women southern Sweden who had undergone surgical resection for such Tumor specimens were analyzed DNA flow cytometry order to estimate both content (ploidy) and fraction synthetic phase cell cycle (S phase). The median duration follow-up was four years; 28 percent received adjuvant therapy, usually tamoxifen (n = 83).

From January 1981 to February 1986, a total of 240 patients with primary, malignancy-grade III or IV soft tissue sarcoma were entered into an adjuvant chemotherapy multicenter trial conducted by the Scandinavian Sarcoma Group (SSG). Of these patients, 181 evaluable. The tumor was located in extremities 155 patients. The field of spinoptronics is underpinned by good control over photonic spin-orbit coupling in devices that have strong optical nonlinearities. Such might hold the key to a new era optoelectronics where momentum and polarization degrees freedom light are interwoven interfaced with electronics. However, manipulating photons through electrical means daunting task given their charge neutrality. In this work, we present electrically tunable microcavity exciton-polariton resonances...

We demonstrate that multiply-coupled spinor polariton condensates can be optically tuned through a sequence of spin-ordered phases by changing the coupling strength between nearest neighbors. For closed 4-condensate chains these span from ferromagnetic (FM) to antiferromagnetic (AFM), separated an unexpected crossover phase. This phase is composed alternating FM-AFM bonds. larger 8 condensate chains, we show critical role spatial inhomogeneities and scheme overcome them prepare any desired...

Abstract Synthetic crystal lattices provide ideal environments for simulating and exploring the band structure of solid-state materials in clean controlled experimental settings. Physical realisations have, so far, dominantly focused on implementing irreversible patterning system, or interference techniques such as optical cold atoms. We show that in a non-equilibrium system of an exciton-polariton condensate, where polaritons are generated from incoherent pumping, ring-shaped pump allows for stationary vortex memory elements topological charge $m = 1$ or -1$. Using simple potential guides we can choose whether to copy the same invert it onto another spatially separate ring pump. Such manipulation binary information opens possibility new type processing using vortices as topologically protected components.
