We present the analysis of Halpha3, an Halpha imaging survey galaxies selected from HI ALFALFA Survey in Coma Supercluster. By using line as a tracer "instantaneous" star formation, complemented with optical colors SDSS we explore hypothesis that morphological sequence progressively earlier type, lower gas-content exists neighborhood cluster, specific formation activity decreasing increasing local galaxy density and velocity dispersion. In dwarf regime (8.5<\log(M*)< 9.5) identify 4-step...

We present results derived from the first multi-chord stellar occultation by trans-Neptunian object (229762) 2007 UK$_{126}$, observed on 2014 November 15. The event was Research and Education Collaborative Occultation Network (RECON) project International Timing Association (IOTA) collaborators throughout United States. Use of two different data analysis methods obtain a satisfactory fit to seven chords, yelding an elliptical chords with equatorial radius $R=338_{-10} ^{+15}$ km equivalent...

Abstract We have used Spitzer images of a sample 68 barred spiral galaxies in the local universe to make systematic measurements bar length and strength. combine these with precise determinations corotation radii associated bars, taken from our previous study, which phase change radial inflow outflow gas at corotation, based on high-resolution two-dimensional velocity fields H α Fabry–Pérot spectrometer. We report new near-IR integral field spectroscopy of the central starburst region barred spiral galaxy M83 obtained with Cambridge Infra-Red Panoramic Survey Spectrograph (CIRPASS) on Gemini-South, which we analyse in conjunction GHαFaS Fabry–Perot data, an Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT) IRIS2 Ks-band image, and near- mid-IR imaging from Hubble Spitzer space telescopes. The bulk current star formation activity is hidden optical view by dust extinction, but seen to north nucleus. This being...

We have combined observations of the Antennae galaxies from radio interferometer ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array) and optical GH$\alpha$FaS (Galaxy H$\alpha$ Fabry-Perot System). The two sets comparable angular spectral resolutions, enabling us to identify 142 giant molecular clouds (GMCs) 303 HII regions. measured, compared, their basic physical properties (radius, velocity dispersion, luminosity). For regions, we find regimes, one for masses $>10^{5.4}...

We present the integrated Hα emission line profile for 157 H ii regions in central 3.4 × arcmin2 of galaxy M83 (NGC 5236). Using Fabry–Perot interferometer GHαFaS, on 4.2-m William Herschel Telescope La Palma, we show importance a good characterization instrumental response function study shapes. The luminosity–velocity dispersion relation is also studied, and log(L)–log(σ) plane do not find linear relation, but an upper envelope with equation log(LHα) = 0.9 log(σ) + 38.1. For adopted...

We have observed the Arp 270 system (NGC 3395 & NGC 3396) in H{\alpha} emission using GH{\alpha}FaS Fabry-Perot spectrometer on 4.2m William Herschel Telescope (La Palma). In 3396, which is edge-on to us, we detect gas inflow towards centre, and also axially confined opposed outflows, characteristic of galactic superwinds, go examine possibility that there a shrouded AGN nucleus.
