The objective was to compare marginal defects and evaluate discoloration for adhesively cemented veneers in vitro when using two cement removal techniques. Twenty premolars were prepared with chamfer borders enamel. IPS e.max CAD Panavia V5 divided groups (n = 10): excess removed a probe after tack-curing 3-5 s, or brush, then completely polymerized. All teeth stored alginate gel until micro-CT examination. Scanning performed twice: directly cementation thermocycling (5000 cycles, between 5...
Calcium phosphates are excellent biomaterial for hard tissue regeneration and replacement. Recently, nanohydroxylapatite (HAp) has been intensively studied as remineralization agent tooth enamel protection remineralization. In this research, we developed model toothpaste composition, determined viscosity investigated weather different processed – spray-dried (spCDHAp), lyophilized (lyoCDHAp), wet precipitated (paste-like consistence, pCDHAp) calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHAp) affect...
In situ viscous mass foaming with ammonium bicarbonate (NH 4 HCO 3 ) as agent was used for the preparation of porous hydroxyapatite ceramics. Three different particle fractions (100-300 μm, 300-500 500-1000 μm) NH were in order to evaluate size effect on ceramic microstructure. Foamed and dried green bodies sintered at 1150°C. The porosity microstructure ceramics determined Archimedes method scanning electron microscopy. As fraction decrease from 100-300 μm open increased 42 54 %. leads...
Abstract Calcium phosphates (CaP) are extensively studied as additives to dental care products for tooth enamel protection against caries. However, it is not clear yet whether substituted CaP could provide better protection. In this study we produced, characterized and tested in vitro co‐substituted calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHAp) with Sr 2+ F − ions. X‐ray powder diffractometry, Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive analysis,...
In current research three different prepared calcium deficient hydroxyapatite samples were evaluated for dental application. Lyophilized (lyoCDHAp), spray dried (spCDHAp) powders and wet precipitates (pCDHAp) characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM BET analysis. Results showed, that various drying processes did not affect initial crystallinity, phase chemical composition of samples. Small agglomerates (up to 2 μm) beside separated particles lyoCDHAp spCDHAp observed in LyoCDHAp could be used as...
Investigation of biomechanical properties the rabbit bone tissue from a corner lower jaw was done. Experimental osteoporosis induced by ovariectomy and following injections methylprednisolone. The defects in greater trochanter region created filled with granules hydroxyapatite tricalcium phosphate (HAP/TCP 30/70) or HAP/TCP 30/70 together 5% strontium ranelate. After 3 month animals were euthanased, squared samples have been cut out tested on bend. Results research show, that becomes more...
F-doped hydroxyapatite (FHAp, Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 OH 2-x F 2x was synthesized by two step technology – wet-chemical precipitation and pH-cycling. Obtained powders were dried calcined for further characterization. FHAp analyzed Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) UV-VIS spectrophotometry. FT-IR analysis approved fluoride incorporation into HAp structure, confirmed OH...F bonding at 3546 745 cm -1 . SEM microphotographs showed, that as-synthesized...
Calcium bone substitutes are successfully used for local recovery of osteoporotic and filling defects. Previous studies revieled that biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) show better bioactivity in compare to pure β-tricalcium or hydroxyapatite. Also increased porosity material promotes tissue response. Aim this experiment was evaluate immunohistologically response experimental animal implantation granules with hydroxyapatite/β-tricalcium (HAp/β-TCP) ratio 90/10. (CaP) synthesized by aqueous...
In the current study, effect of three different treated surfaces hydroxyapatite and β-tricalcium phosphate on mesenchymal cell attachment has been investigated. Calcium powders have synthesized, uniaxially pressed, polished sintered. Mesenchymal cells seeded onto unpolished, polished-thermally etched ceramic samples. The samples characterized by XRD, FTIR SEM. Results shown that best morphology are unpolished surface indicating relatively rough is better for application.
Several viewpoints have been reported regarding the effect of temporary cements, different surface pretreatment protocols before adhesive cementation, and predictive factors. This in vitro study tested if cement, tooth surface, size enamel or dentine influence cementation to zirconia ceramics. Twenty premolars were prepared for determination dentin area, bond strength test failure analysis. The samples divided into two groups: untreated prior (n = 10) with done, pretreated 10). Zirconia...
