PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling pathway is associated with several cellular functions and frequently changed in malignancies. The aim of this study was to characterize the immunohistochemical expression pattern components oral epithelial dysplasia (OED), comparing squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) non-dysplastic tissues (NDOT).A total 186 cases NDOT, OED OSCC were retrieved. Nuclear staining cytoplasmic keratinocytes considered positive, percentage positive cells calculated.Increased immunoreactivity...

Neuropilins are receptors for disparate ligands, including proangiogenic factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor and inhibitory class 3 semaphorin (SEMA3) family members. Differentiated cells in skin epithelium cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma highly express the neuropilin-1 (NRP1) receptor. We examined expression of NRP1 human mouse oral mucosa. was significantly up-regulated epithelial dysplasia (OSCC). receptor localized to outer suprabasal layers normal tongue, an pattern...

Dental management of patients with epi-dermolysis bullosa (EB) is challenging because the severe soft tissue lesions associated this disease. A case history presented where two immediate endosseous implants were placed in mandible a patient recessive dystrophic EB using computer-aided technology to plan surgery and prosthetic rehabilitation. After 24-month follow-up, prosthesis was stable healthy asymptomatic around implants. The stereolithographic model provides precise noninvasive copy...
