Abstract. Coating enhancement of black carbon (BC) light absorption (Eabs) is a large uncertainty in modelling direct radiative forcing (DRF) by BC. Reported Eabs values after atmospheric aging vary widely and the mechanisms responsible for enhancing BC remain elusive. Here, we report on field measurement size-resolved mixing state, Eabs, aerosol single-scattering albedo (SSA) at λ = 532 nm rural site east China from June to July 2016. Strong diurnal variability SSA, Ox (Ox NO2 + O3, proxy...
An innovative and miniature photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) gas sensor based on a multivariate-coupled amplification cell (MVCA-PAC) with total length of 100 mm was developed to achieve ultra-sensitive trace CH4 detection. Acoustic pressure distribution simulations reveal that at the first-order resonance frequency, MVCA-PAC achieves maximum acoustic approximately 3.9 times higher than conventional cell. The absorption optical path reached 2068 through 22 reflections, resulting in 2-fold...
Abstract. The optical properties and chemical composition of PM1.0 particles in a suburban environment (Huairou) near the megacity Beijing were measured during HOPE-J3A (Haze Observation Project Especially for Jing–Jin–Ji Area) field campaign. campaign covered period November 2014 to January 2015 winter coal heating season. average values standard deviations extinction, scattering, absorption coefficients, aerosol single scattering albedo (SSA) at λ = 470 nm measurement 201 ± 240, 164 202,...
We report on the development of a blue light-emitting-diode-based incoherent broad-band cavity-enhanced absorption spectroscopy (IBBCEAS) instrument for measurement aerosol extinction coefficient at λ=461 nm. With an effective path length 2.8 km, optimum detection limit 0.05 Mm-1 (5×10-10 cm-1) was achieved with averaging time 84 s. The baseline drift developed spectrometer about ±0.3 over 2.5 h (1σ standard deviation). performance system evaluated laboratory-generated monodispersed...
In the process of biological invasion, hybridization between invasive species and native is very common, which may lead to formation hybrids with a stronger adaptability. The hybrid Wedelia trilobata (an alien species) chinensis indigenous congener) has been found in South China. our previous study, we that showed heterosis under cadmium stress. However, results this experiment demonstrated leaves had no controlling water loss. loss rate W. was slowest, fastest, middle. Compared hybrid,...
Hybridization is common between invasive and native species may produce more adaptive hybrids. The hybrid (Sphagneticola × guangdongensis) of Sphagneticola trilobata (an species) S. calendulacea (a was found in South China. In this study, trilobata, calendulacea, guangdongensis were used as research materials to explore their adaptability flooding stress. Under stress, the ethylene content expression key enzyme genes related synthesis significantly higher than those trilobata. A large number...
Abstract A compact photoacoustic gas sensor based on variable diameter T‐shaped cell for trace detection was developed. The acoustic pressure distribution in the and conventional with same size were simulated by COMSOL Multiphysics software, which indicated that at first resonance frequency, end of tube designed is significantly stronger than position cell. performance one evaluated water vapor atmospheric environment, comparison shows signal‐to‐noise ratio about 1.6 times greater a limit...
Reaction kinetics of O3with fourcis-3-hexenyl esters were studied using experimental methods in a flow tube reactor as well theoretical methods.
Leaf senescence is an important factor that affects crop yield traits and regulated by various factors. Here, we propose the photo–carbon imbalance hypothesis to explain mechanism of rice leaf senescence. The main idea this carbon assimilation decreases faster than absorption light energy in photosynthesis during late stages growth, which ultimately results Our indicate endogenous ascorbic acid (Asc) plays role affecting expression genes, thereby influencing photosynthetic capacity...
