We present a case of dialysis associated steal syndrome in hemodialysis patient with left radiocephalic arteriovenous fistula that caused him severe rest pain. Angiography showed retrograde flow from the ulnar artery to distal radial through hypertrophied palmar arch. The problem was solved by surgical ligation leading complete relief symptoms without any notable complications.
The optimal treatment approach for patients with active venous leg ulcers (VLUs) and post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) associated great saphenous vein (GSV) reflux remains unclear. To address this gap, we retrospectively compared the outcomes of ulcer intact GSV versus those stripped or ablated GSV.
