Excitable systems of eukaryotic chemotaxis can generate asymmetric signals Ras-GTP-enriched domains spontaneously to drive random cell migration without guidance cues. However, the molecules responsible for spontaneous signal generation remain elusive. Here, we characterized RasGEFs encoded in Dictyostelium discoideum by live-cell imaging spatiotemporal dynamics Ras-GTP and hierarchical clustering, finding that RasGEFX is primarily required essential combination with RasGEFB/M/U starved...
A correlation experiment between inelastically scattered $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ particles at 1.2\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} and decay $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ was performed in the giant-resonance region of $^{40}\mathrm{Ca}$ an incident energy 120 MeV. new ${0}^{+}$ state with 6% energy-weighted sum-rule strength observed ${E}_{x}=14.2$ Two broad resonances (quadrupole possibly octupole) were ${E}_{x}\ensuremath{\sim}18$ No resonant structure ${E}_{x}>20$
Inelastic scattering of $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ particles at 110-140 MeV from $^{90,92}\mathrm{Zr}$, $^{116,118,120}\mathrm{Sn}$, $^{114}\mathrm{Sm}$, and $^{208}\mathrm{Pb}$ nuclei exhibits the presence a new giant resonance ${E}_{x}\ensuremath{\sim}118{A}^{\ensuremath{-}\frac{1}{3}}$ with width about 7 MeV. The angular distributions are consistent those for $L=3$ transfer octupole energy-weighted sum-rule fractions 47-95% exhausted resonance.NUCLEAR REACTIONS $^{144}\mathrm{Sm}$,...
Eukaryotic cells exhibit random migration in the absence of extracellular directional cues. This acts as basal motility for various migratory responses such chemotaxis. The self-organization requires internal signals that determine anterior side migrating cell be generated spontaneously from intrinsic activities intracellular signaling networks. Recent studies have identified an excitable system mechanism spontaneous signal generation. Here, we discuss how Ras, a small G protein, regulates...
Reaction cross sections (σR) for the neutron-rich nucleus 14B on Be, C, and Al targets have been measured at several energies in intermediate energy range of 45–120 MeV/nucleon. The present experimental σR show a significant enhancement relative to systematics stable nuclei. nucleon density distribution was deduced through fitting procedure with modified Glauber calculation. necessity long tail found, which is consistent valence neutron 2s1/2 orbital small empirical one-neutron separation 14B.
An isomeric state in the proton drip-line nucleus 26P has been observed by γ-ray spectroscopy. The energy and half-life are 164.4 ± 0.1 keV 120 9 ns, respectively. For transition of mirror 26Na, 82.40 0.04 4.35 0.16 μs also revised. Comparing experimental reduced probabilities 26Na with theoretical ones calculated shell model USDA interaction, spin-parity (Jπ) is most likely to be 1+.
The inelastic scattering of protons by $^{40}\mathrm{Ca}$ leading to a resonance at ${E}_{x}$\ensuremath{\sim}14 MeV was studied an incident energy 65.1 with resolution 23 keV. found consist many discrete states, most which were ${2}^{+}$ and exhausted 8% the energy-weighted sum rule. Octupole strength 1.8% rule found, 4 times smaller than that observed in electron scattering.

The question of whether charge-changing interactions can be used to probe point-proton radii nuclei remains unanswered. Charge-changing cross sections, σcc, were systematically investigated using stable and unstable nuclear beams intermediateenergy. ratios the experimental σcc values calculated ones obtained from a phenomenological Glauber-type model analysis are found nearly constant in broad range Z/N for light neutron-rich nuclei. This enables determination density distributions, i.e.,...
