Cinnamomum tamala (Buch.-Ham.) T.Nees & Eberm., or Indian Bay Leaf, is a well-known traditional ayurvedic medicine used to treat various ailments. However, the molecular mechanism of action essential oil (CTEO) against non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains elusive. The present study aims decipher targets and CTEO in treating NSCLC. GC-MS analysis detected 49 constituents; 44 successfully passed drug-likeness screening were identified as active compounds. A total 3961 4588...

The essential oil extracted from rhizome and leaf of Curcuma angustifolia Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) was characterised by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). GC-MS analysis revealed the presence 32 35 identified constituents, comprising 92.6% 92% total oil, respectively. Curzerenone (33.2%), 14-hydroxy-δ-cadinene (18.6%) γ-eudesmol acetate (7.3%) were main components in oil. In curzerenone (72.6%), camphor (3.3%) germacrone found to be major constituents. Antioxidant capacities assessed...

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is an economically important plant, valued all over the world. The existing variation among 16 promising cultivars as observed through differential rhizome yield (181.9 to 477.3 g) was proved have a genetic basis using different markers such karyotype, 4C nuclear DNA content and random amplified polymorphic (RAPD). karyotypic analysis revealed distribution of A, B, C, D E type chromosomes represented by karyotype formulas. A significant recorded in ginger...

The essential oils of three medicinally important Curcuma species (Curcuma alismatifolia, aromatica and xanthorrhiza) were extracted using conventional hydro-distillation (HD) solvent free microwave extraction (SFME) methods. volatile compounds from the rhizome subsequently analysed by GC-MS. isolation each was carried out following six principles green comparison made between their chemical composition, antioxidant, anti-tyrosinase anticancer activities. SFME found to be more efficient than...
