An organocatalytic stereoselective alpha-alkylation reaction of aldehydes based on C-H activation is presented.
Mild and rapid: The title reaction is presented its applicability to 18F radiolabeling demonstrated (see scheme; TBAF=tetra-n-butylammonium fluoride, THF=tetrahydrofuran, dba=dibenzylideneacetone). use of p-nitrobenzoate as the leaving group significant success this catalytic organometallic fluorination process. A range allylic fluorides were synthesized by method.
Current musculoskeletal outcome tools are fragmented across different healthcare settings and conditions. Our objectives were to develop validate a single measure for use throughout the pathway patients with conditions: Arthritis Research UK Musculoskeletal Health Questionnaire (MSK-HQ).
Abstract The organocatalytic stereoselective alkylation of aldehydes is carried out with the four stable carbocations 1 , 2 3 4 in presence a catalytic amount (20 mol%) MacMillan imidazolidinones 5 6 . In all reactions, lutidine was used as base. reactions are investigated at different temperatures linear and branched aldehydes. case carbocation tropylium fluoroborate, an interesting reversal product configuration observed, which driven by entropic effects reaction. absolute products...
This paper describes a new catalytic method for the regio- and stereocontrolled fluorination of allylic carbonates. transformation uses TBAF·4tBuOH as fluoride source [Ir(COD)Cl]2 catalyst; most commonly used [Ir(COD)Cl]2/phosphoramidite system is ineffective. Synthetically, this reaction characterized by high degree structural conservation in going from substrates to products. The (E)-allylic carbonates leading linear fluorides (l : b > 20 1, E Z 1) unprecedented unique feature nucleophile....
Abstract Aims Stress echocardiography is widely used to identify obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD). High accuracy reported in expert hands but dependent on operator training and image quality. The EVAREST study provides UK-wide data evaluate real-world performance of stress echocardiography. Methods results Participants undergoing for CAD were recruited from 31 hospitals. followed up through health records which underwent adjudication. Cardiac outcome was defined as anatomically or...
We have previously developed and validated the Arthritis Research UK Musculoskeletal Health Questionnaire (MSK-HQ) for use across musculoskeletal care pathways, showing encouraging psychometric test results. The objective of this study was to determine responsiveness MSK-HQ following MSK treatments minimally important change (MIC). collected data in four cohorts from community physiotherapy secondary-care orthopaedic hip, knee shoulder clinics. 592 individuals were recruited; 210 patients...
Allyl fluorides are reactive toward Pt-catalyzed alkylation with malonate and likewise N- O-nucleophiles under mild conditions. The reactivity of fluoride as a leaving group equals or exceeds that the esters carbonates commonly employed in allylic alkylation. order leaving-group ability Pt catalysts was found to be F ≥ OCO2Me ≫ OBz OAc. This discouraged application platinum for reverse reaction, fluorination substrates. Fluoride displacement involves predominant complete retention...
Introduction Healthcare delivery is being transformed by COVID-19 to reduce transmission risk but continued of routine clinical tests essential. Stress echocardiography one the most widely used cardiac in NHS. We assessed impact first (W1) and second (W2) waves pandemic on ability deliver stress echocardiography. Methods Clinical teams 31 NHS hospitals participating EVAREST study were asked complete a survey structure as well its patients staff July November 2020. Results compared activity...
Musculoskeletal pain is the single greatest cause of years lived with disability. This can include osteoarthritis, inflammatory disorders and musculoskeletal such as back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee pain. The Arthritis UK Health Questionnaire (MSK-HQ) was developed a generic, measure outcome that be used throughout healthcare pathway patients different conditions. MSK-HQ co-produced clinicians to identify aspects MSK health are important both. A consensus workshop provided initial domains,...
Abstract Background Stress echocardiography is a widely used, non-invasive imaging modality used to identify prognostically significant coronary artery disease. High levels of accuracy have been reported, however this highly dependent on operator training and image quality. There are currently limited data available the stress echo in every day clinical practice. Purpose The EVAREST study links clinics 30 NHS Hospital Trusts England therefore provides evaluate performance diagnostic...
Abstract The reaction products are isolated with very high degrees of regioselectivity (<15:1) and E/Z conservation (<18:1).
Abstract The use of p‐nitrobenzoate as the leaving group is essential for success process.
