A mild and efficient ligand-free Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction catalyzed by heterogeneous Pd/C was developed. Aryl bromides triflates undergo the cross-coupling with aryl boronic acids in excellent yields without presence of any additives aqueous media at room temperature. vinyl are also applicable to this provide trans-stilbene derivatives high yields. Abstract A ligand‐free and heterogeneous palladium on carbon (Pd/C)‐catalyzed hetero‐Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction has been developed. The protocol enables the construction of both heterocyclic‐alicyclic heterocyclic‐heterocyclic biaryl derivatives in good to excellent yields. Furthermore, Pd/C could be reused. time‐course study clarified that was leached into media as proceeded then completely deposited support.

Abstract Various biofunctional hydrogel materials can be fabricated in aqueous media through the self-assembly of peptide derivatives, forming supramolecular nanostructures and their three-dimensional networks. In this study, we describe new Fmoc-dipeptides comprising α-methyl-L-phenylalanine. We found that position number methyl groups introduced onto α carbons by α-methyl-L-phenylalanine have a marked influence on morphology nanostructure as well (network) formation ability.

Endoxylanases are important enzymes in bioenergy research because they specifically hydrolyze xylan, the predominant polysaccharide hemicellulose fraction of lignocellulosic biomass. For effective biomass utilization, it is to understand mechanism substrate recognition by these enzymes. Recent studies have shown that specificities bacterial and fungal endoxylanases classified into glycoside hydrolase family 30 (GH30) were quite different. While functional differences been described, still...

The 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase (OAS)/RNase L pathway is an innate immune system that protects hosts against pathogenic viruses and bacteria through cleavage of exogenous single-stranded RNA; however, this system's selective targeting mechanism remains unclear. Here, we identified mRNA quality control factor Dom34 as a novel restriction for positive-sense RNA virus. Downregulation RNase increases viral replication, well half-life the RNA. directly binds to form surveillance complex...

SUMMARY Plasmodium falciparum thymidylate kinase (PfTMK) can tolerate a range of substrates, which distinguishes it from other kinases. The enzyme not only phosphorylates TMP and dUMP but also bulkier purines, namely, dGMP, GMP, dIMP. In order to probe the flexibility PfTMK in accommodating ligands various sizes, we developed 6 mutant enzymes subjected these thermodynamic, inhibitory catalytic evaluation. A simple synthesis of sugar fatty acid esters was developed in a nonaqueous solution using lipase modified by synthetic detergent. Esterification accelerated continuous removal water from the reaction mixture with molecular sieve. When glucose and palmitic (1:1 mole) were used as starting substrates, more than 90% converted to its ester this system. The resultant product 6-O-palmitoylglucose. Other mono- or disaccharides also esterified high yield. It shown that might act catalyst for esters.
