Abstract Wurtzite‐type Al 1− x Sc N solid solutions grown by metal organic chemical vapor deposition are for the first time confirmed to be ferroelectric. The film with 230 nm thickness and = 0.15 exhibits a coercive field of 5.5 MV cm −1 at measurement frequency 1.5 kHz. single crystal quality homogeneous composition X‐ray diffraction spectroscopic methods such as flight secondary ion mass spectrometry. Annular bright scanning transmission electron microscopy serves prove ferroelectric...
A measurement of the reduced transition probability for excitation ground state to first ${2}^{+}$ in $^{104}\mathrm{Sn}$ has been performed using relativistic Coulomb at GSI. is lightest isotope Sn chain which this quantity measured. The result a key point discussion evolution nuclear structure proximity doubly magic nucleus $^{100}\mathrm{Sn}$. value $B(E2;{0}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{2}^{+})=0.10(4)$ ${e}^{2}{b}^{2}$ significantly lower than earlier results $^{106}\mathrm{Sn}$ and...
The nature of ${0}^{+}$ excitations, especially in transitional and deformed nuclei, has attracted new attention. Following a recent experiment studying $^{158}\mathrm{Gd}$, we investigated large group nuclei the rare-earth region with $(p,t)$ pickup reaction using Q3D magnetic spectrograph at University Munich MP tandem accelerator laboratory. Outgoing tritons were recorded various lab angles, their angular distributions are compared to those calculated distorted-wave Born approximation....
A β-decaying high-spin isomer in (96)Cd, with a half-life T(1/2)=0.29(-0.10)(+0.11) s, has been established stopped beam rare isotope spectroscopic investigations at GSI (RISING) experiment. The nuclei were produced using the fragmentation of primary (124)Xe on (9)Be target. From and observed γ decays daughter nucleus, (96)Ag, we conclude that state is long predicted 16(+) "spin-gap" isomer. Shell-model calculations, Gross-Frenkel interaction πν(p(1/2),g(9/2)) model space, show isoscalar...
Excited states in the deformed nucleus $^{168}\mathrm{Er}$ have been studied with high-energy resolution, ($p,t$) reaction, Munich Q3D spectrograph. A number of 25 excited $0{}^{+}$ (four tentative) and $63\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}{2}^{+}$ assigned up to 4.0 MeV excitation energy. This unusually rich characterization $2{}^{+}$ a nucleus, close complete level scheme, offers unique opportunity check, detail, models nuclear structure that incorporate many modes. comparison experimental data...
Excited states in ${}^{96}$Ag were populated fragmentation of an 850-MeV/u ${}^{124}$Xe beam on a 4-g/cm${}^{2}$ Be target. Three new high-spin isomers identified and the structure was investigated. The level scheme established, spin parity (13${}^{\ensuremath{-}}$), (15${}^{+}$), (19${}^{+}$) assigned to isomeric states. Shell-model calculations performed various model spaces, including $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\nu}({p}_{1/2},{g}_{9/2},{f}_{5/2},{p}_{3/2})$ large-scale shell-model space...
In a high-energy fragmentation experiment at GSI an I=π(6+) isomer and its γ-decay are identified in 102Sn, the two-neutron neighbour of doubly-magic 100Sn. Its half-life is measured to be T=1/2367(11) ns. The possible existence further isomers discussed framework large-scale shell model (LSSM) calculations including up five particle-hole excitations 100Sn core. From precise B(E2; 6+→4+) strength recently remeasured value for 8+→6+) two-proton hole 98Cd effective E2 polarization charges...
The ($^{3}\mathrm{He}$,$ d$) single-proton stripping reaction has been performed on targets of $^{185,187}\mathrm{Re}$ to investigate the structures ${4}_{3}^{+}$ states in $^{186,188}\mathrm{Os}$. experiment employed 30 MeV $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ beams, and products were analyzed with a Q3D spectrograph. A second $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-decaying high-spin isomeric state, with a half-life of 197(22)ns, has been identified in the $N=Z+2$ nuclide $^{94}\mathrm{Pd}$ as part stopped-beam Rare Isotope Spectroscopic INvestigation at GSI (RISING) experiment. Weisskopf estimates were used to establish tentative spin/parity ${19}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, corresponding maximum possible spin negative parity state restricted ($p$${}_{1/2}$, $g$${}_{9/2}$) model space empirical shell calculations. The Advanced-Time-Delayed method was used to measure lifetimes of the states in 41Ar populated β decay 41Cl. nuclei 41Cl were produced at ISOLDE by 1.4-GeV proton bombardment a thick UCx target and mass-separated as molecular ions, XeCl+. Our measured half-life 167.1-keV state, T1/2=315(15) ps, is significantly lower than previously value 410(30) ps. We have also determined T1/2=260(80) ps T1/2⩽46 for 515.9- 1867.7-keV states, respectively. These are shortest so far with ultrafast timing...
In 98Cd a new high-energy isomeric γ-ray transition was identified, which confirms previous spin-parity assignments and enables for the first time measurement of E2 E4 strength two decay branches isomer. Preliminary results on high-excitation level scheme are presented. A comparison to shell-model calculations as well implications nuclear structure around 100Sn discussed.

We present results from stopped beam rare isotope spectroscopic investigations at the GSI (RISING) experiment based on detection of $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-ray transitions following $\ensuremath{\beta}$ decay ${}^{94}$Pd. A comparison between measured low-lying level scheme ${}^{94}$Rh and prediction shell-model calculations reveals important roles ${g}_{7/2}$ ${g}_{9/2}$ orbitals in explaining structural features. The low values Gamow-Teller strengths $B(GT)$ can be attributed to influence...
The structures of 3+ states in Os have been debated over several decades. Based on measured B(E2) values they were interpreted 186–192Os as Kπ = 4+ two‐phonon vibrations, whereas inelastic scattering, and (t,α) work imply a hexadecapole phonon description. To clarify the nature these bands 186,188Os, we performed (3He,d) reaction 185,187Re targets using 30 MeV 3He beams Q3D spectrograph. Absolute cross sections obtained for excited up to 3 at 9 angles from 5° 50°. Results indicate...
Pulsed filtered cathodic arc deposition involves formation of energetic multiply charged metal ions, which help to form dense, adherent, and macroparticle-free thin films. Ions possess not only significant kinetic energy, but also potential energy primarily due their charge, for plasmas is usually greater than one. While the effects ion on growing film are well investigated, ions’ less known. In present work, we make a step toward decoupling contributions energies ions formation. The changed...
