We report a precision measurement of the parity-violating asymmetry $A_{PV}$ in elastic scattering longitudinally polarized electrons from $^{208}$Pb. measure $A_{PV}=550\pm 16 {\rm (stat)}\pm 8\ (syst)}$ parts per billion, leading to an extraction neutral weak form factor $F_W(Q^2 = 0.00616\ GeV}^2) 0.368 \pm 0.013$. Combined with our previous measurement, extracted neutron skin thickness is $R_n-R_p=0.283 0.071$~fm. The result also yields first significant direct interior density...

The cross section for quasielastic $^{12}\mathrm{C}$(e,e'p) scattering has been measured at momentum transfer ${\mathit{Q}}^{2}$=1, 3, 5, and 6.8 (GeV/c${)}^{2}$. results are consistent with from a single nucleon as the dominant process. nuclear transparency is obtained compared theoretical calculations that incorporate color effects. No significant rise of ${\mathit{Q}}^{2}$ observed.

This Letter reports the first measurement of $^{235}$U $\overline{\nu_{e}}$ energy spectrum by PROSPECT, Precision Reactor Oscillation and Spectrum experiment, operating 7.9m from 85MW$_{\mathrm{th}}$ highly-enriched uranium (HEU) High Flux Isotope Reactor. With a surface-based, segmented detector, PROSPECT has observed 31678$\pm$304 (stat.) $\overline{\nu_{e}}$-induced inverse beta decays (IBD), largest sample HEU fission to date, 99% which are attributed $^{235}$U. The first measurements of the differential cross section for d(gamma,p)n reaction up to 4.0 GeV were performed at Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) Jefferson Lab. We report sections proton center-of-mass angles 36, 52, 69 and 89 degrees. We have measured the differential cross section for two-body deuteron photodisintegration at ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.}=90\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ and photon energies between 0.8 1.6 GeV. At above \ensuremath{\simeq} 1.2 GeV, data appear to obey a simple scaling law predicted by constituent-counting rules assuming parton degrees of freedom nucleons. Agreement with model calculations based on meson exchange or "reduced nuclear amplitudes" is discussed.
