We report a precision measurement of the parity-violating asymmetry $A_{PV}$ in elastic scattering longitudinally polarized electrons from $^{208}$Pb. measure $A_{PV}=550\pm 16 {\rm (stat)}\pm 8\ (syst)}$ parts per billion, leading to an extraction neutral weak form factor $F_W(Q^2 = 0.00616\ GeV}^2) 0.368 \pm 0.013$. Combined with our previous measurement, extracted neutron skin thickness is $R_n-R_p=0.283 0.071$~fm. The result also yields first significant direct interior density...

We measured the triple coincidence A(e,e'np) and A(e,e'pp) reactions on carbon, aluminum, iron, lead targets at Q2 > 1.5 (GeV/c)2, xB 1.1 missing momentum 400 MeV/c. This was first direct measurement of both proton-proton (pp) neutron-proton (np) short-range correlated (SRC) pair knockout from heavy asymmetric nuclei. For all nuclei, average to reduced cross-section ratio is about 6%, in agreement with previous indirect measurements. Correcting for Single-Charge Exchange effects decreased...

Short-range correlated (SRC) nucleon pairs are a vital part of the nucleus, accounting for almost all nucleons with momentum greater than Fermi (${k}_{F}$). A fundamental characteristic SRC is having large relative momenta as compared to ${k}_{F}$, and smaller center mass (c.m.) which indicates small separation distance between in pair.
