BACKGROUND The frailty index is a known predictor of adverse outcomes in geriatric patients. Trauma-Specific Frailty Index (TSFI) was created and validated at single center to accurately identify reliably predict worse among trauma This study aims prospectively validate the TSFI multi-institutional cohort METHODS prospective, observational, trial across 17 American College Surgeons Levels I, II, III centers. All patients (65 years older) presenting during 3-year period were included. status...
BACKGROUND Different frailty scores have been proposed to measure frailty. No study has compared their predictive ability predict outcomes in trauma patients. The aim of our was compare the different complications, mortality, discharge disposition, and 30-day readmission METHODS We performed a 2-year (2016–2017) prospective cohort analysis all geriatric (age, >65 years) calculated following on each patient; Trauma-Specific Frailty Index (TSFI), Modified (mFI) derived from Canada Study...

Despite logistical challenges these initiatives must overcome at several levels, scant methods exist for systematically identifying reaching a range actors involved in their implementation. As result, efforts to document lessons learned from such are often incomplete. This paper describes development...
A large ureteral stone is a rare condition that can cause significant complications if untreated. We report the case of 21-year-old male from Farah province who experienced abdominal pain for eight months, with localized lower last two and frequent urination but no hematuria. Imaging revealed 9 × 4 cm lodged in ureter. The patient underwent ureterolithotomy, double J stent was placed. Postoperative outcomes were excellent. Stones larger than 10 are exceptionally rare, this emphasizes need...
