Magneto-opitcal studies of a c-oriented epitaxial MgB2 film show that below 10 K the global penetration vortices is dominated by complex dendritic structures abruptly entering film. We suggest observed behavior due to thermo-magnetic instability which supported vortex dynamics simulations. The also responsible for large fluctuations in magnetization curves at low temperatures.
The aim of this study was to investigate the potential texture analysis, applied dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI), predict clinical and pathological response neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in patients with locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) before NAC is started. Fifty-eight LABC were classified on basis their according Response Evaluation Criteria Solid Tumors (RECIST) guidelines after four cycles NAC, surgery. The measurements were...
Abstract Purpose To evaluate dynamic contrast‐enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE‐MRI) as a tool for early prediction of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) and 5‐year survival in patients with locally advanced breast cancer. Materials Methods DCE‐MRI was performed scheduled NAC ( n = 24) before after the first treatment cycle. Clinical evaluated completed NAC. Relative signal intensity (RSI) area under curve (AUC) were calculated from DCE‐curves compared clinical response....

Histogram properties from model fitting DWI are useful features for differentiation lesions, and classification can potentially be improved by machine learning. Purpose To evaluate malignant benign tumors breast cancer subtypes using support vector (SVM). Study Type Prospective. SUBJECTS Fifty‐one patients with ( n = 23) 28) (26 ER+, whereof six were HER2+). Field...
Integrated clinical whole-body PET/MR systems were introduced in 2010. In order to bring this technology into usage, it is of great importance compare the performance with well-established PET/CT. The aim study was evaluate PET performance, focus on image quality, Siemens Biograph mMR (PET/MR) and mCT (PET/CT). A direct quantitative comparison characteristics between system performed according National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) NU 2-2007 protocol. Spatial resolution,...
We demonstrate here real-time imaging of individual vortices in a NbSe2 single crystal using polarized light microscopy. A new high-sensitivity magneto-optical (MO) system enables observation the static vortex lattice as well motion at low flux densities.
Objectives The aim of this study was to assess the diagnostic accuracy peripheral zone prostate cancer localization by multiparametric magnetic resonance (MR) at 3 T using segmental matching histopathology and MR images avoid bias image features in selection noncancer regions. Materials Methods Forty-eight patients underwent imaging (MRI) on a system phased array body coil spine elements for signal detection before prostatectomy. examination included T2-weighted (T2WI), diffusion-weighted...
Abstract Purpose Brain segmentation and multi‐parameter mapping (MPM) are important steps in neurodegenerative disease characterization. However, acquiring both a high‐resolution T1w sequence like MPRAGE (standard input to brain segmentation) an MPM the same neuroimaging protocol increases scan time patient discomfort, making it difficult combine clinical examinations. Methods A novel approach synthesize images from images, named , is proposed compared standard technique used produce...
Magneto-opitcal studies of a c-oriented epitaxial MgB2 film with critical current density 10^7 A/cm^2 demonstrate breakdown the state at temperatures below 10 K [cond-mat/0104113]. Instead conventional uniform and gradual flux penetration in an applied magnetic field, we observe abrupt invasion complex dendritic structures. When field subsequently decreases, similar structures return penetrate film. The static dynamic properties dendrites are discussed.
Abstract Purpose To provide dose‐response data for the safe and effective use of MnCl 2 manganese (Mn 2+ ) ‐enhanced MRI (MEMRI) visual pathway. Materials Methods Retinal ganglion cell (RGC) toxicity, CNR in MEMRI, axon density resolution mode axonal transport clearance Mn from vitreous after ivit were investigated. After 0, 30, 150, 300, 1500, 3000 nmol , neural toxicity was measured by counting surviving RGC back‐filled with FluroGold (FG), body pathway three‐dimensional (3D) ON...
To evaluate the performance of an advanced method for correction inhomogeneous static magnetic field induced distortion in echo-planar imaging (EPI), applied to diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) breast. An algorithm based on symmetry by inhomogeneity when phase encoding polarity is reversed was evaluated 36 data sets patients who received examination that included DWI (b = 0 and 700 s/mm(2) ) extra b sequence with opposite polarity. The decrease L2 -square norm after between opposed images...
A recently developed high-resolution magneto-optical imaging (MOI) setup is reviewed. It the first MOI system capable of resolving individual vortices in a type-II superconductor. We give detailed description whole setup, and discuss its measured properties terms magnetic sensitivity signal-noise characteristics. simple model for image intensity distribution due to vortex lattice developed, profile across single vortex, we find good agreement between calculations experimental data. Methods Seventy‐one patients were imaged at 3 Tesla with a 16‐channel coil. A MRI sequence including b = 0 700 in 30 directions was obtained all patients. The image data fitted to three different models: isotropic model – apparent coefficient (ADC), (the standard used DTI) model, increased degrees freedom describe anisotropy....
The STRAT-PARK initiative aims to provide a platform for stratifying Parkinson's disease (PD) into biological subtypes, using bottom-up, multidisciplinary biomarker-based and data-driven approach.
