Tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) are recognized as antitumor suppressors, but how TAMs behave in the hypoxic environment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. Here, we demonstrated that hypoxia inducible factor 1α induced increased expression triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells‐1 (TREM‐1) TAMs, resulting immunosuppression. Specifically, TREM‐1‐positive (TREM‐1 + ) abundant at advanced stages HCC progression indirectly impaired cytotoxic functions CD8 T cells and...

Resistance to sorafenib severely hinders its effectiveness against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Cancer stemness is closely connected with resistance sorafenib. Methods for reversing the cancer remains one of largest concerns in research and lack such methods obstructs current HCC therapeutics. Ubiquitin-specific protease 22 (USP22) reported play a pivotal role multidrug (MDR). Herein, galactose-decorated lipopolyplex (Gal-SLP) developed as an HCC-targeting self-activated...

Objective This study aimed to develop and evaluate the value of a nomogram based on quantitative MR signal intensity predict response combined systemic therapy anti-angiogenesis immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. Methods 117 HCC patients who underwent treatment at tertiary hospital between September 2020 May 2024 were enrolled divided into development cohort (n = 82) validation 35). Intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) are implicated in the propagation of T-cell-mediated inflammatory diseases, including graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), but underlying mechanism remains poorly defined. Here, we report that IECs require receptor-interacting protein kinase-3 (RIPK3) to drive both gastrointestinal (GI) tract and systemic GVHD after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Selectively inhibiting RIPK3 markedly reduces murine intestine liver. IEC cooperates with...

Safe disposal of food waste is becoming an impending issue in China with the rapid increase its production and promotion environmental awareness. Food from catering services Hangzhou, China, was surveyed characterized this study. A questionnaire survey involving 632 units across urban districts showed that 83.5% not properly treated. Daily estimated to be 1184.5 tonnes. The ratio volatile solid total solid, easily biodegradable matter (including crude fat, protein starch) content organic...

Nanosecond pulsed electric field (nsPEF) has emerged as a promising tool for hepatocellular carcinoma ablation recently. However, little is known about how nsPEF affects liver regeneration while being applied to eliminate lesions. Besides, the impact of on function should also be taken into consideration in process. In this paper, we study by measurement serum levels AST and ALT well relevant molecular mechanisms vivo. We found that mouse exhibited temporary injury without weight loss after...

Porcine stool-associated RNA virus (Posavirus) is an unclassified with sequence similarity to viruses in the order of Picornaviridae. In China, lineage 1 Posavirus (Posavirus 1) has been circulating field since its initial emergence 2014 however no other lineages have reported. To investigate genetic diversity 1200 diarrheic samples were collected from pigs China. Following high-throughput and Sanger sequencing, one complete genome a (designated SC01) strain was obtained. Abstract Evasion of cell death is a hallmark cancer cells. Receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1) common mediator in signaling pathways apoptosis and necroptosis. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are non-coding small RNAs that involved various biological processes such as proliferation by regulating target genes. Here, we identified miR-148a miR-152 suppressors TNF-induced based on the screening apoptosis-regulating miRNAs. Elevated expression or blocks cellular activation caspase-8 caspase-3...
