Abstract This study evaluated whether early pulmonary hypertension (PH) in extremely preterm infants (EPIs) at 22–27 weeks of gestation detected clinically with echocardiography 4–7 postnatal days (PND) is a risk factor for death before 36 post-menstrual age (PMA) or late PH moderate severe (m/s) bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) (BPD-PH). We analyzed factors PMA BPD-PH. Among 247 EPIs enrolled, 74 (30.0%) had PH. Twenty-one (28.4%) and 18 (10.4%) without died PMA; 14 (18.9%) 9 (5.2%) BPD-PH...
Abstract Aims/Introduction The interactive effects of resistance training and dietary protein on hormonal responses in adults are not clear remain controversial. We tested the effect an isocaloric high‐protein diet body composition, ghrelin, metabolic parameters during a 12‐week program untrained healthy young men. Material Methods randomized 18 men to standard ( ST group) or high HP group). Both groups participated exercise program. measured lipid profile, homeostatic model assessment...
To evaluate the efficacy of arthrodiastasis for Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.Arthrodiastasis was conducted using external fixator devices (Orthofix) in 7 patients at least 8 years age with a diagnosis disease. The average follow-up 80 months (range, 32 to 149 months), and their 9.1 12 years). results treatment were evaluated by measuring degree hip pain range motion 6 after operation comparing values preoperative measurements. Radiological recovery epiphyseal index compared values. At final...
Objective To assess the effects of a sensory integration programme involving applied interactive metronome training in group children with developmental disabilities. Methods Ten various disabilities participated this study. Participants received treatment for 45 minutes day 4 weeks, exclusive Saturday and Sunday. The treatments consisted stimulations vestibular tactile senses, proprioceptive training. Results were evaluated via measurements short profile, Corner's teacher rating scale,...
Invasive aspergillosis (IA), generally considered an opportunistic infection in immunocompromised hosts, is associated with high morbidity and mortality. IA commonly occurs the respiratory tract isolated reports of nasal sinuses, central nervous system, skin, liver, urinary tract. Extra-pulmonary usually observed disseminated disease. To date, there are a few studies regarding primary gastrointestinal (GI) hosts. Only cases GI non-immunocompromised hosts have been reported; these, almost all...
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of concurrent chemoradiation (CCRT) using 5-flurouracil (5-FU) and cisplatin for locally advanced cervical cancer. Methods: We reviewed medical records 57 patients with cancer (stage IIB-IVA bulky IB2-IIA tumor) who underwent CCRT at Dong-A University Hospital from January 1997 to June 2007.The consisted 5-FU, pelvic radiation.Every three weeks, 75 mg/m 2 was administered on first day each cycle 5-FU infused dose 1,000 /d second fifth cycle.Radiation pelvis...
Pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) is a very rare condition that defined as the presence of gas within subserosal or submucosal layer bowel. PI has been described in association with variety conditions including gastrointestinal tract disorders, pulmonary diseases, connective tissue organ transplantation, leukemia, and various immunodeficiency states. We report case 74-year-old woman who complained dyspnea during management acute asthma exacerbation developed PI; but, it improved without any treatment.

We aimed to show that a standardized step-by-step robotic approach using surgical landmarks could make lateral pelvic lymph node dissection (LPND) less complicated. performed robot-assisted LPND consisting of 4 steps landmarks. The first step is uretero-hypogastric fascia, which envelopes the ureter and hypogastric nerve. second medial side external iliac vein located at border obturator nodes (LNs) group. third vesico-hypogastric LNs final internal artery until Alcock’s canal. Indocyanine...
