Given the influence of provider perspective and practice in uptake HIV/STI prevention care strategies, this qualitative descriptive design study sought to illuminate perspectives couples HIV testing counseling (CHTC) describe couple/partner-based practices among health providers New York State. We utilized a purposive sampling strategy recruit (N = 27). Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted from Sept. 2019 Feb. 2021. Four themes emerged: on engaging partners couples-centered...

The induction of a broadly neutralizing antibody (BNAb) response against HIV-1 would be desirable feature protective vaccine. Vaccine strategies thus far have failed to elicit responses; however minority HIV-infected patients do develop circulating BNAbs, from which several potent monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) been isolated. findings that BNmAbs exhibit autoreactivity and autoreactive serum are observed in some HIV advanced the possibility enforcement self-tolerance may contribute rarity...

We describe microneutralization assays that used automated 96-well enzyme-linked immunospot (ELI-SPOT) readout instrumentation to measure human anti-dengue virus (DENV) antibodies in CV-1 cells were stably transfected express FcγRIIA (CD32) using conventional Vero as a comparator. Classic plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT) end-point titers determined by probit analysis. Neutralization against DENV measured transfectants expressed terms of both 50% 90% PRNT and differential...

Sera from patients involved in a Peruvian outbreak of dengue virus serotype 1 infection cross-neutralized the American genotype 2 up to 100-fold more efficiently than they did virulent Asian 2, as determined by plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT) with CV-1 fibroblasts modified express human Fcgamma receptor CD32. The concordant preferential immune enhancement monocytes suggests that such modification might strengthen correlation between PRNT titer and protection.

Potent HIV-1 specific broadly neutralizing antibodies (BNA) are uncommon in HIV infected individuals, and have proven hard to elicit by vaccination. Several, isolated monoclonal BNA polyreactive also recognize self-antigens, suggesting a breach of immune tolerance persons living with (PLWH).
