No study has thus far evaluated the association of controlling nutritional status (CO NUT) score and prognostic index (PNI) with prognosis in candidates listed for heart transplantation (HT). Therefore, this study, we aimed to investigate impact these indices on candidates. In retrospective a total 195 HT were included. Over median follow-up period 503.5 days, patients grouped as survivors (n=121) non-survivors (n = 74). Malnutrition was defined CONUT ≥2 (CONUT-defined malnu trition) PNI ≤38...

Double-orifice mitral valve (DOMV) is a rare congenital malformation characterized by two separate orifices of varying sizes in association with the abnormalities subvalvular apparatus. It has been reported to be associated variety other malformations. We report case incomplete form Shone's complex composed complete bridge-type DOMV and bicuspid aortic valve, well demonstrated both transthoracic transoesophageal echocardiography cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.

Vasodilatory function of radial artery (RA) declines following the transradial catheterization. However, it is uncertain whether impaired vasodilatory develops in every patient. The aim this study was to investigate incidence and predictive factors procedures.Consecutive patients undergoing elective procedures were prospectively enrolled. Ultrasound examination RA recorded just before 1 week after procedure. diameters flow velocities measured at baseline, mediated vasodilation (FMD) nitrate...

The effect of malnutrition on outcomes after carotid artery stenting (CAS) is not well known. This study reports the relationship between and post-procedure 30-day major adverse events (MAEs). A total 978 patients hospitalized for CAS were enrolled in study. Controlling nutritional status (CONUT) score, risk index (NRI), prognostic (PNI) calculated. MAEs (myocardial infarction, stroke/transient ischemic attack mortality) compared. According to CONUT NRI, PNI, 9.4%, 41%, 11.4% moderately or...

Ectopic thyroid tissue is a result of abnormal migration during the embryonic state. Most these rare cases, almost 90% them, are located in base tongue and minority them anteriorly near hyoid bone area. Below we report case young patient with an intracardiac mass first diagnosed three-dimensional echocardiography afterward successfully treated surgically. Once careful histological examination has revealed follicular adenoma, prognosis good especially if successful surgical excision part management.
