Endotoxin-resistant C3H/HeJ mice were used to test the hypothesis that a macrophage product, possibly interleukin-1, might mediate depression of liver cytochrome P-450-dependent drug metabolism in endotoxin-treated mice. Depression by endotoxin was observed normal (C3H/HeN) but not Serum transfer experiments demonstrated serum factor responsible for metabolism. Experiments passive peritoneal macrophages showed this endotoxin-induced be product. In vitro endotoxin-stimulated monocytes...

We have studied five patients with chronic lymphoeytosis consisting of large granular lymphocytes (LGL). The increased numbers LGL in these had little or no natural killer activity, mediated antibody‐dependent cellular cytotoxicity, and were induced to kill tumour lines after culture for 3 days interleukin 2 (IL‐2). Patients' showed considerable reactivity HNK‐1 AB8.28 monoclonal antibodies (MoAb), whereas positivity OKM1 N901 was found m only two subjects, one patient reacted B73.1. No...

Abstract Introduction Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is among the main causes of death and neurological sequelae worldwide. Injuries are classified as diffuse (diffuse axonal swelling) or focal (cerebral contusion [CCo], epidural hematoma, acute subdural hematoma). Among all TBIs, CCos most frequent lesion, treatment modalities many. Hematoma evacuation using large craniotomies has been well described in literature. The goal present study to discuss advantages minimally invasive approaches for...
