The availability of cancer genomic data makes it possible to analyze genes related cancer. Cancer is usually the result a set and signal single gene could be covered by background noise. Here, we present web server named Gene Set Analysis (GSCALite) in cancers with following functional modules. (i) Differential expression tumor versus normal, survival analysis; (ii) Genomic variations their (iii) associated pathway activity; (iv) miRNA regulatory network for genes; (v) Drug sensitivity (vi)...

Abstract Cancer initiation and progression are likely caused by the dysregulation of biological pathways. Gene set analysis (GSA) could improve signal-to-noise ratio identify potential insights on gene level. However, platforms exploring cancer multi-omics data using GSA methods lacking. In this study, we upgraded our GSCALite to GSCA (gene analysis, http://bioinfo.life.hust.edu.cn/GSCA) for at genomic, pharmacogenomic immunogenomic levels. improved GSCA, integrated expression, mutation,...

Abstract Immune checkpoint genes (ICGs) play critical roles in circumventing self-reactivity and represent a novel target to develop treatments for cancers. However, comprehensive analysis the expression profile of ICGs at pan-cancer level their correlation with patient response immune blockade (ICB) based therapy is still lacking. In this study, we defined three patterns using survey RNA-seq data tumor cells from functional annotation mammalian genome (FANTOM5) project. The between patients...

A compact wavelength demultiplexing structure based on arrayed metal-insulator-metal (MIM) slot cavities is proposed and demonstrated numerically. The consists of a bus waveguide perpendicularly coupled with series cavities, each which captures SPPs at the resonance frequency from tunes transmission by changing its geometrical parameters. cavity theory model used to design operating wavelengths structure. Moreover, single band channel adjustable bandwidth can be obtained altering drop...

Cadmium (Cd) is an extremely toxic metal, capable of severely damaging several organs, including the brain. Studies have shown that Cd disrupts intracellular free calcium ([Ca2+]i) homeostasis, leading to apoptosis in a variety cells primary murine neurons. Calcium ubiquitous ion which acts as signaling mediator numerous cellular processes cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival/death. However, little known about role Cd-induced neuronal cells. Thus we investigated rat cerebral...

An ultra-compact surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) narrow band-pass filter based on a slot cavity is proposed and numerically investigated. Attributed to the coupled resonances in cavity, demonstrates pass-band selection capability. Also, by varying positions of output waveguides, shows spectrally splitting function. Moreover, combination adjustments length/width coupling distance provides more flexibility design for locations widths pass-bands filter.

Abstract Advanced maternal age has been reported to impair oocyte quality; however, the underlying mechanisms remain be explored. In present study, we identified lowered NAD + content and decreased expression of NMNAT2 protein in oocytes from old mice. Specific depletion mouse disturbs meiotic apparatus assembly metabolic activity. Of note, nicotinic acid supplementation during vitro culture or forced aged was capable reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production incidence...
