Physical activity provides clinical benefit in Parkinson’s disease (PD). Irisin is an exercise-induced polypeptide secreted by skeletal muscle that crosses the blood–brain barrier and mediates certain effects of exercise. Here, we show irisin prevents pathologic α-synuclein (α-syn)-induced neurodegeneration α-syn preformed fibril (PFF) mouse model sporadic PD. Intravenous delivery via viral vectors following stereotaxic intrastriatal injection PFF cause a reduction formation prevented loss...

Flexible and stretchable electronics are poised to enable many applications that cannot be realized with traditional, rigid devices. One of the most promising options for low-cost transistors printed carbon nanotubes (CNTs). However, a major limiting factor in CNT devices is lack stable versatile contact material forms both interconnects electrodes. In this work, we introduce use eutectic gallium-indium (EGaIn) liquid metal electrical contacts channels. We analyze thin-film (TFTs) fabricated...

Background: This study assessed the efficacy and safety of ultrarapid insulin Fiasp® in hybrid closed-loop MiniMed™ 670G system. Methods: was a pilot randomized double-blinded crossover among established users comparing percentage time range (TIR) hypoglycemia for Novolog® Fiasp. After 2 weeks optimization with their home insulin, participants were to receive Novolog or Fiasp weeks, followed by other next weeks. Data from second week blinded use analyzed allow 1 adaptation. Database management systems (DBMSs) have a plethora of tunable knobs that control almost everything in the system. The performance DBMS is highly dependent on these configuration knobs, however, getting this tuning right hard. Many organizations resort to hiring experts configure but prohibitively expensive. As databases grow both size and complexity, optimizing has surpassed abilities even best human experts. We recently introduced OtterTune, service able automatically find good settings...

Existing LMs struggle with proof-oriented programming due to data scarcity, which manifest in two key ways: (1) a lack of sufficient corpora for languages such as F*, and (2) the absence large-scale, project-level implementations that can teach model intricate reasoning process when performing programming. We present first on synthetic augmentation project level proof oriented both generation repair. Our method addresses scarcity by synthesizing basic problems proficiency language;...
