Cutaneous melanoma (CM) is an aggressive skin cancer with high metastatic potential and poor prognosis. Splicing factors, which regulate pre-mRNA alternative splicing (AS) events, have been suggested as therapeutic targets in CM. The objective of this study was to identify candidate factors involved CM through a systems biology approach elucidate their roles progression. 390 AS events associated patient survival were identified using bivariate Cox regression receiver operating characteristic...

Histone deacetylases (HDACs), a critical family of epigenetic enzymes, has emerged as promising target for antitumor drugs. Here, we describe our protocol virtual screening in identification novel potential HDAC inhibitors through pharmacophore modeling, 3D-QSAR, molecular docking and dynamics (MD) simulation. Considering the limitation current works, drug repurposing strategy was applied to discover druggable inhibitor. The ligand-based 3D-QSAR models were established, their reliability...

Abstract Wall-climbing robot (WCR) displays a great potential in wide range of tasks that are challenging or dangerous for human presence. Adhesion capacity and control mechanism the key factors climbing robots, as they directly affect robot’s durability power consumption different tasks. However, many WCRs adopting negative pressure adhesion rely on extra such air compressor to achieve engagement disengagement while overlooking dimension energy-consumption level robot. The high...

The methanol extract of the tubers Polygonum perfoliatum L. afforded a new lignan: 8-oxo-pinoresinol (1), and five known compounds 3′,5-dihydroxy-3,4′,5′,7-tetramethoxy-flavone (2), catechin (3), quercetin (4), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucuronide (5) rutin (6). Their structures were established by MS, one- two-dimensional NMR experiments. Compound 1 showed cytotoxicity against human mammary carcinoma (Bcap-37), colon (RKO), hepatocellular (SMMC-7721), prostate (PC3) erythroleukaemia (K562) cells.

Abstract Existing magnetically driven soft robots mainly rely on external electromagnetic, leading to a substantial energy consumption due the requirement of large magnetic field. Moreover, precise control these relies electric current, making them highly susceptible disturbances and deviations induced by minute variations in current. To overcome challenges, we propose evaluate novel approach employing miniature walking robot empowered its internal electromagnets. The overall size is 18 mm ×...

Myocontrol is the intuitive control of a neural prosthetic via user's voluntary muscular activations detected in form surface EMG(electromyography) signals. This type usually implemented by means pattern recognition, which uses set training data to create machine learning model that can decipher these electrical activations. EMG myocontrol now widely used multiple fields such as clinical medicine and human-computer interfacing. However, usefulness depends greatly on accuracy collected...
