With an intention to assist gastroenterologists, this work proposes intelligent method classify alimentary canal diseases such as Barrett's, Esophagitis, Hemorrhoids, Polyps, and Ulcerative colitis by using empirical wavelet transform (EWT) convolutional neural network (CNN). Here, a publicly available HyperKvasir dataset is used for the experimental work. The framework starts with several image pre-processing steps followed implementation of EWT. EWT helps decompose into modes extract...

Introduction:The incidence of acute pancreatitis (AP) is gradually increasing, which can be fatal if inappropriately diagnosed and inadequately treated at an early stage due to the paucity biomarkers prognosticate AP stage. The present study aims assess prognostic role neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) platelet lymphocyte (PLR) for predicting severe stage. Methods: The current was a single-center observational carried out between April 2020 September 2021 in Department Gastroenterology, IMS...

Ménétrier disease (MD) is a rare condition characterized by hypertrophic gastropathy, leading to enlarged gastric folds, excessive mucus production, and protein loss. Among the approximately 150 cases of reported pediatric MD, usual presenting features are peripheral oedema, anasarca, gastrointestinal symptoms. This case report describes 2-year-old child with outlet obstruction, an unusual manifestation which has not been described previously in age group.

Alagille syndrome, a rare genetic disorder with autosomal dominant transmission, manifests five major features: paucity of interlobular bile ducts, characteristic facies, posterior embryotoxon, vertebral defects, and peripheral pulmonary stenosis. Globally, only 500 cases have so far been reported, reported in the Indian subcontinent. Rarely, syndrome also presents skin manifestations early-onset chronic liver disease, which was found our case. We believe that we report what could be first...
