We have developed a high-throughput method for analyzing the methylation status of hundreds preselected genes simultaneously and applied it to discovery signatures that distinguish normal from cancer tissue samples. Through an adaptation GoldenGate genotyping assay implemented on BeadArray platform, state 1536 specific CpG sites in 371 (one nine per gene) was measured single reaction by multiplexed 200 ng bisulfite-treated genomic DNA. The used obtain quantitative measure level at each site....

Spare capacity: A SnO2/graphene nanocomposite is fabricated by a novel solvothermal method (see picture). The exhibits reversible lithium storage capacity of 838 mAh g−1 in the first cycle and improved cyclability as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries. Detailed facts importance to specialist readers are published "Supporting Information". Such documents peer-reviewed, but not copy-edited or typeset. They made available submitted authors. Bi2MoxW1−xO6 solid solutions with various compositions (x = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.00) have been synthesized by a facile hydrothermal crystallization method. All the as-synthesized products are composed of nanosheets similar orthorhombic Aurivillius layered structures. With decreasing Mo content, thickness decreases. The begin to intergrow at x 0.75 further assemble into hierarchical superstructures through "oriented attachment" even less content. For valence band is widened conduction...

Attachment of trophozoites to the intestine is an indispensable step for Giardia's survival and pathogenicity in almost 280 million infections worldwide each year. However, analysis attachment mechanism difficult due lack methods that can create a favorable microaerobic atmosphere. Herein, we developed osmotic-pressure, pH, excretion, nutrition, gas, ionic-strength, flow-rate, temperature microenvironment-controlled micropatterned microfluidic model simulate vivo microenvironment study situ...

A novel nanopore based digestion strategy has been developed by directly adding a macroporous material as catalyst to the conventional in-solution reaction system. Without increasing enzyme or protein concentrations, this simple approach exhibits high proteolysis efficiency and selectivity due in situ fast adsorption of both enzymes proteins from bulk solution into macropores catalysts, where target substrates are greatly concentrated confined nanospace realize quick digestion. Based on...

Lignin is a major component of plant biomass. It poses significant challenges for sustainable valorization due to its structural recalcitrance. Traditional microbial screening methods are hindered by culturability limitations and time-consuming workflows. This study introduces novel Microfluidic Droplet-assisted Single-Cell Raman sorting system (MD-SCR sorting) address these bottlenecks. By integrating droplet microfluidics with single-cell spectroscopy (SCRS), the platform enables...

A new benzofuran lactone, rhuscholide (1), was isolated from the stems of Rhus chinensis, together with six known compounds: 5-hydroxy-7-(3,7,11,15-tetramethylhexadeca-2,6,10,11-tetraenyl)-2(3H)-benzofuranone (2), betulin (3), betulonic acid (4), moronic (5), 3-oxo-6β-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic (6) and 3-oxo-6β-hydroxyolean-18-en-28-oic (7). Based on 1D, 2D NMR (COSY, HMQC, HMBC) mass (EI-MS, HR-EI-MS) spectral data, structure deduced to be...

Vibrio parahaemolyticus is usually spread via consumption of contaminated seafood and causes vibriosis. By combination digital microfluidic (DMF) loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), we provided an automated instrumentation-compact DMF–LAMP device for sample-to-answer detection V. parahaemolyticus. For the first time, how much proper mixing might facilitate process explored. The results illustrated that increasing number flow configurations decreasing fluid-reversibility will...
