The provision of a particle and power exhaust solution which is compatible with first-wall components edge-plasma conditions key area present-day fusion research mandatory for successful operation ITER DEMO. work package plasma-facing (WP PFC) within the European programme complements laboratory experiments, i.e. in linear plasma devices, electron ion beam loading facilities, studies performed toroidally confined magnetic such as JET, ASDEX Upgrade, WEST etc. connection both groups done via...
In this paper the impact of steady state pure D plasma on WCrY smart alloys at ion energies 120 and 220 eV is reported. For purpose a comparison with simultaneously exposed W samples drawn. Different analysis techniques employed for pre- post-plasma sample hint significant depletion Cr enrichment lower energies. Preferential sputtering leads to enhanced volumetric loss eV. Analysis redeposited material indicated local redeposition Cr. Modelling irradiation SDTrimSP used further interpret...
We propose a device to compensate for the dispersion of attosecond electron pulses. The uses only static electric and magnetic fields therefore does not require synchronization pulsed source. Analogous well-known optical compensator, an compensator separates paths by energy in space. Magnetic are used as dispersing element, while Wien filter is compensation arrival times. analyze with size centimeters, which can be applied ultrafast diffraction microscopy, fundamental studies.
This study demonstrates that Raman microscopy is a suitable technique for future post mortem analyses of JET and ITER plasma facing components. We focus here on laboratory deposited bombarded samples beryllium carbides start to build reference spectral databases fusion relevant beryllium-based materials. identified the phonon density states, its second harmonic E2G B2G combination modes defective in range 300–700 700–1300 cm−1, lying close Be–D hydrides. also carbide signature, Be2C,...
Tungsten surface enrichment of EUROFER steel by 250 eV deuterium sputtering is in-situ measured using low energy He+ ion scattering spectroscopy. The samples are irradiated at various temperatures between 300 K and 800 with a atom flux 2 × 1018 m−2s−1 maximum fluence up to 1.1 1023 m−2. measurements room temperature show clear increase tungsten density, but already 520 the observed only half as large. At no detectable. obtained data yield an upper limit 1.6 for diffusion activation in EUROFER.
Quantitative analysis of hydrogen isotopes in first wall as well construction materials future fusion devices plays a crucial role to understand the evolution those under operation conditions. A quantitative understanding is also an important issue for storing energy fuel cells. combination Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) and Elastic Peak (EPES) presented this study tackle these problems modern material research production storage. Accurate inelastic scattering background...
Reactions of 3‐Aroylimino‐3H‐1,2‐dithioles The thiolates 3 and 10 prepared from 3‐aroylimino‐4‐aroylthio‐5‐cyano‐3H‐1,2‐dithioles 1 with bases, react alkylhalides acylhalides to the corresponding 4‐S‐substituted compounds 6, 11 7 , respectively. Treatment 1‐chloropropanone gives bicyclic compound 12 by intramolecular cyclization involving 5‐cyano‐group. 3,6‐Bis‐(acylimino)‐3H,6H‐[4,3‐c] [1,2]‐dithioles 2 or 8 are S‐acylated dithioles sulphur in pyridine/benzene. 1,2,4‐Triazines 13 formed...

A reaction-diffusion model with surface occupation dependent desorption [D. Matveev et al., Nucl. Instr. Meth. B 430 (2018) 23–30] has been updated to handle multiple hydrogen species simulate hydrogen/deuterium isotope-exchange experiments performed on polycrystalline beryllium samples under ultra-high vacuum laboratory conditions. In the subsequent exposures of a sample and deuterium ion beams in direct reverse implantation order were followed by thermal spectroscopy measurements constant...
The growth of thin Cs and K films on Si(111)7 × 7 kept at 170 has been followed by second harmonic generation (SHG) during continuous deposition. Initially, both types alkali atoms adsorb dangling bond sites, in a similar way as room temperature. At low temperature the completion one overlayer is multilayer growth. This causes orders magnitude increase SHG due to excitations plasmons. A fairly sharp transition below which multilayers can exist was found 260 for metals. For variations with...
Abstract (D) Thiooxamidehydrazides proved to be versati1e precursors for new interesting sulfur and nitrogen containing open chain heterocyclic compounds, usefu1 as ligands in coordination chemistry. The reaction behavior of thiooxalic amide-N1-methylhydrazidimide 1a showed both similiarities differences compared with other (di)thiooxamidehydrazides. So reactions (X = NH) aliphatic ketones gave triazoles 2, whereas 1b S) led triazines 3 S). On the hand aromatic aldehydes resulted formation...
