The provision of a particle and power exhaust solution which is compatible with first-wall components edge-plasma conditions key area present-day fusion research mandatory for successful operation ITER DEMO. work package plasma-facing (WP PFC) within the European programme complements laboratory experiments, i.e. in linear plasma devices, electron ion beam loading facilities, studies performed toroidally confined magnetic such as JET, ASDEX Upgrade, WEST etc. connection both groups done via...
The epitaxial growth of two-dimensional (2D) $\beta-In_2Se_3$ material was obtained over 2-inches c-sapphire wafers using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Excellent quality thick (90 nm) and very thin films, down to two quintuple layers (2 nm), confirmed by x-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (ac-STEM). Wafer-scale fabrication photodetectors based on five produced photolithography other standard semiconductor processing...
Abstract Results of the first dust survey in JET with ITER-Like Wall (JET-ILW) are presented. The sampling was performed using adhesive stickers from divertor tiles where greatest material deposition detected after JET-ILW campaign 2011 – 2012. emphasis especially on and analysis metal particles (Be W) aim to determine composition, size, surface topography internal structure a large set methods: high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy, focused ion beam, diffraction also...
In this report, we demonstrate the preparation method of a multi-layer stack with pre-defined number graphene layers, which was obtained using chemical vapor deposition deposited on copper substrate and subsequently transferred onto poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) substrate. The prepared can also be an arbitrary in end, polymer removed, consequence significantly increases range possible applications. character confirmed by optical transmittance measurements Raman spectroscopy, whereas...
Abstract 2D GaSe is a semiconductor belonging to the group of post‐transition metal chalcogenides with great potential for advanced optoelectronic applications. The weak interlayer interaction in multilayer materials allows formation several polymorphs. Here, first structural observation new polymorph reported, characterized by distinct atomic configuration centrosymmetric monolayer (D 3d point group). structure this determined aberration‐corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy....
In this paper, we report the results of investigation 9.5 µm AlGaAs/GaAs and strain compensated 4.7 AlInAs/InGaAs/InP QCLs. We also show for lasers based on lattice matched structures. The developed GaAs/AlGaAs record pulse powers 6 W at 77 K up to 50 mW 300 K. This has been achieved by careful optimization MBE growth process applying a high reflectivity metallic coating back facet laser. utilize AlInAs waveguide were grown exclusively without MOCVD regrowth. short wavelength, QCLs MOCVD....
Abstract We present a facile and green approach to produce crystalline TiO 2 nanoparticles on surface of different carbonaceous materials derived from lignocellulosic biomass such as STARBON‐800 ® obtained by carbonization at 800 °C biochar‐SWP700 (Soft Wood Pellets (SWP) pyrolysis 700 °C) via novel low‐temperature ultrasound‐promoted methodology coupled with citric acid cross‐linking agent. In comparison other methods, the developed method has several significant benefits simplicity, great...
Results are presented for the dust survey performed at JET after second experimental campaign with ITER-Like Wall: 2013–2014. Samples were collected on adhesive stickers from several different positions in divertor both tiles and carrier. Brittle dust-forming deposits test mirrors inner wall also studied. Comprehensive characterization accomplished by a wide range of high-resolution microscopy techniques, including focused ion beam, has led to identification classes particles: (i) beryllium...
The influence of the annealing temperature on deuterium retention was studied for self-ion damaged tungsten in range from 600–1200 K. Samples were by 20 MeV W ions at room to peak damage level 0.5 dpa. then annealed desired 1 h and exposed atom beam with flux 144 populate remaining defects. An unannealed sample also used as a reference. Nuclear reaction analysis technique depth profile thermal desorption performed same samples measure amount total retained D. Scanning transmission electron...
Abstract Fe‐doped TiO 2 ‐supported photocatalytic materials prepared by the use of a mild ultrasound‐assisted protocol have been found to possess excellent selectivities in glucose oxidation and total phenol mineralization. These were characterized number techniques such as XRD, diffuse reflectance UV/Vis spectroscopy, N physisorption, X‐ray photoelectron SEM with microanalysis, HRTEM, flame atomic absorption spectroscopy. The proposed synthesis method was significant effect on textural...
We demonstrate for the first time a highly efficient Cu(i)-catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition reaction on surface of ZnO nanocrystals with retention their photoluminescence properties. Our comparative studies highlight superiority novel self-supporting organometallic method preparation brightly luminescent and well-passivated over traditional sol-gel procedure.
Abstract The Joint European Torus (JET) fusion reactor was upgraded to the metallic wall configuration in 2011 which consisted of bulk beryllium (Be) tiles main chamber and tungsten (W) W-coated CFC divertor (Matthews G.F. et al Phys. Scr. T148 014001). During each campaign, a series damages were observed; on upper dump plates (UDP) positioned top part vessel walls inner wall—mainly affecting guard limiters (IWGL). In both cases, it concluded that causes these unmitigated plasma disruptions....
