Osteosarcoma is the most common form of malignant bone tumor that occurs during childhood and adolescence. The proximal fibula a relatively rare site for osteosarcoma. We reviewed 305 cases osteosarcoma registered at Tohoku Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (TMTS) between 1975 1999. Thirteen patients (4.3%) had their osteosarcomas localized in fibula.
