A new approach for deducing the theory of fermion masses at scale grand unification is proposed. Combining SO(10) unification, family symmetries and supersymmetry with a systematic operator analysis, minimal set mass operators consistent low-energy data determined. Exploiting full power to relate up, down, charged lepton matrices, we obtain predictions seven mixing parameters. The assumptions upon which search resulting are based stressed, together discussion how affected by relaxation some...

We devise a new criterion for linear independence over function fields. Using this tool in the setting of dual t-motives, we find that all algebraic relations among special values geometric field Gamma-function are explained by standard functional equations.

Superpartner masses cannot be arbitrarily heavy if supersymmetric extensions of the standard model explain stability gauge hierarchy. This ancient and hallowed motivation for weak scale supersymmetry is often quoted, yet no reliable determination this upper limit on superpartner exists. In paper we compute bounds in minimal model, identify which values correspond to most natural explanation hierarchy stability. We compare value these their limits physics reach current future colliders. As a...

This paper presents the development and implementation of an inductive, underwater wireless power transfer system for use with unmanned vehicles (UUVs). Specifically, design fabrication coils electronics is provided a capable providing 75W to load. At small standoff distances (<;2 inches) frequencies below 300kHz, it shown that there little difference between inductive in air seawater. Measured data shows at levels 75W, efficiency from transmitter rectifier resistive load above 85%.

We propose a simple model in which the cosmological dark matter consists of particles whose mass increases with scale factor universe. The particle is generated by expectation value scalar field does not have stable vacuum state, but effectively stabilized rest energy ambient particles. As universe expands, density decreases, leading to an increase (and hence particle). coupled system variable-mass (``vamps'') redshifts more slowly than that ordinary matter. Consequently, age larger...
