Two full-genome sequences of porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) are reported. The genomes were recovered from pooled serum samples sows who had just delivered litters with variable numbers stillbirths. two circular (PCV3-BR/RS/6 and PCV3-BR/RS/8) 2,000 nucleotides long contain open reading frames (ORFs) oriented in opposite directions that encode the putative capsid (Cap) replicase (Rep) proteins. intergenic region contains a stem-loop motif, as reported for other circoviruses. Rolling circle...

This study is focused on the identification of faecal virome healthy chickens raised in high-density, export-driven poultry farms Brazil. Following high-throughput sequencing, a total 7743 de novo-assembled contigs were constructed and compared with known nucleotide/amino acid sequences from GenBank database. Analyses blastx revealed that 279 (4 %) related to eukaryotic viruses. Viral genome (total or partial) indicative members recognized viral families, including Adenoviridae,...

The adjuvant activity of Chenopodium quinoa (quinoa) saponins on the humoral and cellular immune responses mice subcutaneously immunized with ovalbumin (OVA) was evaluated. Two saponin fractions were obtained, FQ70 FQ90, 10 determined by UPLC/Q-TOF-MS. Mice OVA alone or adjuvanted Quil A (adjuvant control), FQ70, FQ90. FQ90 significantly enhanced amount anti-OVA-specific antibodies in serum (IgG, IgG1, IgG2b) mice. effect greater than that However, delayed type hypersensitivity higher...

Recently, a putative new pestivirus species, provisionally named as Atypical Porcine Pestivirus (APPV), was associated with the congenital tremor in piglets North America and consequently Europe Asia. The present research aimed to describe detection characterization of APPV employing NS5B gene partial sequencing, gross pathology histologic examination displaying from two different farms Southern Brazil. No lesions were observed, histological findings revealed moderate vacuolization white...

Circoviruses are highly prevalent porcine and avian pathogens. In recent years, novel circular ssDNA genomes have recently been detected in a variety of fecal environmental samples using deep sequencing approaches. this study the identification circoviruses cycloviruses feces insectivorous bats is reported. Pan-reactive primers were used targeting conserved rep region to screen DNA bat samples. Using approach, partial sequences which formed five phylogenetic groups distributed among...

Quillaja brasiliensis (Quillajaceae) is a saponin producing species native from southern Brazil and Uruguay. Its saponins are remarkably similar to those of Q. saponaria, which provides most the used as immunoadjuvants in vaccines. Although the use of vaccines has controlled enteric diseases in dogs many developed countries, vaccine coverage is still under optimal situation Brazil. There a large population nonimmunized and few studies about identification viruses associated with diarrhea. To address this situation, stool samples from 325 were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction for detection common such as Canine adenovirus (CAdV), coronavirus (CCoV), distemper virus (CDV), rotavirus (CRV) Carnivorous protoparvovirus...

Using metagenomic approaches, we identified a novel Torque teno virus from Brazilian free-tailed bats (Tadarida brasiliensis) (TT-TbV). The TT-TbV genome and deduced protein sequences share extremely low identity with known anelloviruses. Due to high degree of phylogenetic divergence, such putative could not be allocated into any Anelloviridae genera.
